The Principal Data Architect will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of complex cloud-based data solutions for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud data and analytics technologies. \nYour Assignment \nDefine strategic roadmaps and targeted outcomes for our clients in a consultative capacity \nAct as a data engineering SME to define upcoming engagements working with our pre-sales teams \nPerform technical interviews for Architect and Engineer candidates as well as provide technical guidance to Architects and Engineers \nOversee the development and implementation of data standards and operating procedures \nRequirements \nAt least 4 years of experience in AWS data landscape \n10 years of experience designing and building complex data systems as well as experience in these areas: \nTraditional Data (At least 2): \nRelational database design, optimization and migration \nData modeling for both transactional and analytics systems including implementation of industry standard data models\nBI dashboards and visualizations \nData Governance and MDM \nNew Data (at least 2): \nBig data processing using Spark, Streaming solutions, and NoSQL \nMachine Learning and MLOps with proficiency in Sagemaker \nGenAI Foundational Models as well as approaches and frameworks used in conjunction with them with proficiency in Bedrock. \nDataOps practices (Infrastructure as Code, Data Testing, Data Versioning, etc) \nExperience with at least two of these: \nInfrastructure as Code tools \nCI/CD pipelines and tools \nPython for analytics (numpy, pandas, matplotlib, etc.) and automation \nStrong drive towards standardizing and documenting our approach and solutions•Excellent written and verbal communication skills \n\nBenefits\nCaylent employs full-time, full-benefit CLT in Brazil.\n100% remote work\nGenerous holidays and flexible PTO\nCompetitive phantom equity\nPaid for exams and certifications\nPeer bonus awards\nState of the art laptop and tools\nEquipment & Office Stipend\nIndividual professional development plan\nAnnual stipend for Learning and Development\nWork with an amazing worldwide team and in an incredible corporate culture\nThis role may require up to 25% travel, depending on business needs.\n NOTE: This position requires current legal authorization to work in the country where this position is located.
