This position requires excellent technical skills, a thorough understanding of hybrid environments, and a strong ability to support compliance initiatives such as authorization to operate (ATO). The engineer will maintain, support, and improve critical infrastructure systems, which include SharePoint platforms, Power BI Report Server, SQL clusters, and other enterprise services deployed across on-premises and cloud environments.\nThis position aligns with Cayuse’s core values of Innovation, Excellence, Collaboration, Adaptability, and Integrity by fostering technical solutions that meet customer needs, promoting teamwork, and prioritizing quality in deliverables.\nResponsibilities\nKey Responsibilities:\nManage, configure, and maintain on-premises, Azure, and cloud-based SharePoint environments.\nPerform comprehensive troubleshooting, monitoring, and performance optimization for SharePoint systems.\nSupport governance efforts, service requests, and user inquiries to ensure smooth operation.\nAdminister SharePoint Online (SPO), including security management, access controls, and feature configurations.\nAdminister and maintain on-premises/Azure Power BI Report Server environments.\nConfigure data sources and manage report deployments while addressing report accessibility issues for users.\nMonitor server performance and ensure report refresh reliability.\nOversee and troubleshoot SQL servers associated with Power BI Report Server operations.\nSupport ADFS environments, including troubleshooting authentication and claims-related issues.\nMaintain configurations to uphold secure and reliable access to enterprise applications.\nProvide baseline SQL administration and support for mission-critical database servers.\nMonitor and test failover cluster functionality to ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.\nCollaborate with database teams on patching, maintenance, and system stability optimization.\nPerform routine Windows Server maintenance, including patching, updates, and configuration management.\nEnsure compliance with organizational security policies and lead ATO remediation efforts.\nMonitor system health, analyze logs, and respond promptly to alerts to maintain reliable server operations.\nManage or support Azure services related to hybrid integrations, identity storage, and SharePoint Online.\nConfigure, monitor, and troubleshoot cloud-connected systems, ensuring stability and efficiency.\nParticipate in initiatives that enhance cloud governance, automation processes, and operational best practices.\nGeneral Infrastructure Operations\nRespond to escalated operational tickets and provide timely resolution of system issues.\nDevelop documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures for infrastructure systems.\nParticipate in system upgrades, migrations, and enhancement projects to improve functionality and reliability.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including security, networking, development, and data platform teams, to optimize operations.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nQualifications - Here’s What You Need\nThe qualifications and skills listed below are intended to provide a general overview of the requirements for this position. Candidates should demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to adapt to evolving responsibilities as outlined by the client.\nBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.\nA minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience administering SharePoint environments (on-prem, Azure, and SharePoint Online).\nAt least 3 years of experience with patching, security hardening, and compliance-focused remediation tasks (e.g., NIST 800-53 or similar frameworks).\nDirect experience working with Power BI Report Server, SQL administration, Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), and Windows Server operating systems.\nFamiliarity with Azure services, hybrid cloud models, and associated components.\nProven troubleshooting expertise and effective time management skills for handling multiple priorities simultaneously.\nActive Top Secret/ SCI Security Clearance.\nMust be able to pass a background check.
