The Systems Administrator will also collaborate closely with other IT teams to drive automation and performance optimization initiatives, maintain accurate and up-to-date system documentation, and ensure compliance with organizational policies, data security guidelines, and applicable regulatory standards.\nThis position aligns with Cayuse’s core values of Innovation, Excellence, Collaboration, Adaptability, and Integrity by fostering technical solutions that meet customer needs, promoting teamwork, and prioritizing quality in deliverables.\nResponsibilities\nManage and maintain IT infrastructure across Windows and Linux environments, VMware virtual platforms, and cloud services, including AWS and Azure.\nEnsure high availability, reliability, and security of all systems.\nAdminister system updates, patches, and ensure optimal system performance through ongoing maintenance and performance tuning.\nUtilize ITIL best practices for effective incident management, problem resolution, and implementation of changes.\nTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain seamless operations.\nCollaborate with IT teams to design and implement automation solutions and optimize system processes.\nMonitor system performance and implement proactive measures to address potential issues.\nDevelop and maintain thorough and up-to-date technical documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and incident response guides.\nEnsure strict compliance with organizational IT policies, data security measures, and applicable regulatory frameworks.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nThe qualifications and skills listed below are intended to provide a general overview of the requirements for this position. Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.\nA minimum of 8 years of experience in systems administration within Windows, Linux, or VMware environments.\nExtensive knowledge of operating systems, including Windows Server, Red Hat, and CentOS.\nProficiency with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere and ESXi.\nExpertise in scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python.\nDemonstrated experience in system monitoring, patch management, and performance tuning.\nStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of team collaboration and cross-functional partnerships.\nFamiliarity with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.\nSecret Security Clearance is required.\nMust be able to pass a background check.
