This pivotal role ensures compliance with Intelligence Community standards (including ICD 705), supervises access control officers and support staff, and serves as the primary government stakeholder liaison for incident management and operational updates. The Shift Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining operational readiness, workforce management, compliance, and mission continuity in a high-security environment.\nThis position aligns with Cayuse’s core values of Innovation, Excellence, Collaboration, Adaptability, and Integrity by fostering technical solutions that meet customer needs, promoting teamwork, and prioritizing quality in deliverables.\nResponsibilities\nKey Responsibilities\nDeliver regular status updates to the Site Lead and Program Manager on site operations, staffing, and emergent concerns.\nMaintain strong, effective communication with security stakeholders during live incidents, special access events, or security escalations.\nLead and coordinate facility-wide access control and security operations.\nEnsure full adherence to post orders, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and government security directives.\nConduct comprehensive daily shift turnovers, personnel readiness checks, and workplace inspections.\nRespond to and manage on-site security incidents, personnel access challenges, and customer complaints/escalations.\nAssure compliance with all company SOPs and contractual requirements.\nSupervise and manage the performance of SCA-covered access control officers and administrative staff.\nPlan, manage, and enforce duty schedules, shift coverage, and timekeeping compliance policies.\nMentor and coach personnel to maintain professional conduct, performance, and adherence to operational policies.\nSupport hiring processes, including employee onboarding and clearance processing.\nDrive performance improvement initiatives and participate in routine performance evaluations.\nEnforce security protocols related to prohibited items, badge verification, controlled area monitoring, and emergency responses.\nMaintain inspection-ready documentation, operational logs, and incident reports.\nPerform routine site and personnel compliance inspections to identify procedural gaps and implement corrective actions.\nDeliver and support the training of new team members, ensuring all site personnel maintain certification and proficiency in post procedures.\nStay informed of updates to IC security standards and relay operational impacts to site personnel.\nParticipate in audits, drills, and inspections to ensure readiness and adherence to security protocols.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nQualifications - Here’s What You Need\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\n5+ years of experience in physical security, access control, or military/law enforcement.\n2+ years in a supervisory or site lead role within a secure or classified environment.\nDemonstrated knowledge of ICD 705, SCIF access procedures, and secure operations protocols.\nThe incumbent in this position is required to complete the Tailored Adaptive Personality Assessment System (TAPAS) as part of the organization’s personnel assessment and placement process. The TAPAS assessment supports the evaluation of individual behavioral tendencies and work styles to ensure alignment with position requirements, mission objectives, and organizational values.\nActive Top Secret /SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.\nMust be able to pass a background check.
