This role requires technical expertise, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to manage operations in a remote and challenging environment.\nThis position aligns with Cayuse’s core values of Innovation, Excellence, Collaboration, Adaptability, and Integrity by fostering technical solutions that meet customer needs, promoting teamwork, and prioritizing quality in deliverables.\nResponsibilities\nKey Responsibilities\nLead and oversee all contractor personnel and O&M functions at the assigned.\nEnsure staffing coverage across all shifts and maintain high-performing operational teams.\nMaintain operational mission continuity, ensuring compliance with all safety, security, quality, logistics, facilities, and staff requirements.\nProactively coordinate with host-installation entities for mission readiness, inspections, and operational support.\nServe as the on-site interface to local and external government customers, building effective working relationships and responding promptly to performance issues, outages, inspections, or emergency situations.\nAct as the primary decision-maker and escalation authority for after-hours needs, including mission-driven or emergency responses.\nEnsure seamless integration and communication across quality, security, logistics, facilities, emergency response, and other cross-functional areas to support successful operations.\nSupport cross-training efforts within the management team to ensure proper coverage for all critical functions.\nOversee and coordinate technical and bargaining-unit activities but generally refrain from regularly executing those tasks unless qualified and authorized.\nComply with all range, safety, security, and access requirements associated with the remote desert/range site on White Sands Missile Range.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nQualifications - Here’s What You Need\nThe qualifications and skills listed below are intended to provide a general overview of the requirements for this position. Candidates should demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to adapt to evolving responsibilities as outlined by the client.\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, business, space operations, or a related field preferred.\nEquivalent senior military or technical operations leadership experience may be accepted.\nA minimum of 8 years in technical operations or mission O&M, including at least 3 years of experience leading a site, detachment, shift organization, or comparable workforce.\nDemonstrated success in site-level leadership, incident management, and performance oversight in mission-critical environments.\nTop Secret/ SCI Clearance is required.\nMust be able to pass a background check.
