If you are passionate about quality, innovation, and continuous improvement, we invite you to apply.\nThis position aligns with Cayuse’s core values of Innovation, Excellence, Collaboration, Adaptability, and Integrity by fostering technical solutions that meet customer needs, promoting teamwork, and prioritizing quality in deliverables.\nResponsibilities\nKey Responsibilities\nSoftware Testing and Quality Assurance:Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for both automated and manual testing to identify software defects and ensure compliance with requirements and specifications.\nTest system modifications prior to implementation to validate product functionality and quality.\nIdentify edge cases, perform defect triage, and conduct regression testing to ensure product reliability.\n\nDefect Documentation and Reporting:Document and log software and application defects using a bug-tracking system.\nCollaborate closely with software or web developers to report defects and assist in resolving issues.\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date databases of identified defects.\n\nCollaboration in Development Lifecycle:Actively participate in software design reviews to provide valuable input on functional requirements, operational characteristics, product designs, and project schedules.\nCollaborate with business analysts, end users, and leadership to translate customer requirements into functional interfaces, maintaining a focus on usability and accessibility.\n\nSoftware Development:Develop, enhance, and refine software application features.\nRefactor code bases while adhering to secure coding practices and usability principles.\nFix software defects and contribute to feature implementation, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.\n\nSupport and Troubleshooting:Contribute to documentation, testing improvements, and troubleshooting in both development and production environments to resolve technical issues effectively and efficiently.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nQualifications - Here’s What You Need\nThe qualifications and skills listed below are intended to provide a general overview of the requirements for this position. Candidates should demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to adapt to evolving responsibilities as outlined by the client.\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.\nMinimum of 4+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas:SharePoint/web design, software/application development, or software testing/QA.\n\nProficiency in HTML/CSS and familiarity with modern programming languages or frameworks (e.g., C#, Java, JavaScript, .NET).\nUnderstanding of usability principles, accessibility standards, secure coding practices, and structured development lifecycles.\nExperience with relational databases, RESTful services, or automated testing frameworks.\nActive Secret Security clearance is required.\nMust be able to pass a background check.
