Candidates must have an active Top Secret clearance for consideration.\nThe UI/UX & Frontend Developer combines user experience research, wireframing, prototyping, responsive design, and hands-on front-end development to create seamless digital experiences. The ideal candidate excels in design thinking, has strong visual and iterative design skills, and is skilled at translating wireframes and prototypes into robust, maintainable UI components.\nThis position aligns with Cayuse’s core values of Innovation, Excellence, Collaboration, Adaptability, and Integrity by fostering technical solutions that meet customer needs, promoting teamwork, and prioritizing quality in deliverables.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to ensure functionality aligns with user needs.\nCreate and maintain style guides, pattern libraries, and reusable design artifacts to enhance design consistency.\nConduct user needs research, collect feedback, and refine design decisions to improve user experiences.\nEnsure all designs and front-end implementations fully adhere to 508 accessibility regulations and align with FBI design standards.\nBuild responsive and accessible user interfaces using modern front-end frameworks, including JavaScript/TypeScript and React.\nCollaborate with backend developers to align UI components with API capabilities and system functionality.\nFacilitate and support usability testing, analyze results, and provide actionable, design-driven recommendations to improve UI/UX performance.\nProvide design and frontend development support for cross-team modernization initiatives and additional unit projects.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nAt least 5+ years of professional experience in UI/UX design and frontend development.\nDemonstrated expertise in using prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.\nStrong proficiency with modern frontend frameworks, including React and JavaScript/TypeScript, as well as web technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3.\nComprehensive understanding of web accessibility standards, 508 compliance, responsive design, and design systems.\nAbility to create and maintain scalable and reusable design system components.\nBachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Design, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).\nActive Top Secret Security Clearance required.\nMust be able to pass a background check.
