oversee and manage all branch operational, administrative, control, and service support activities, ensuring compliance with the Bank's policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and operational risk standards while maintaining efficient branch operations and a high-quality customer service environment.\nPrincipal Accountabilities:\nOperational Management:\nManage the day-to-day operational and administrative activities of the branch.\nEnsure efficient execution of all branch transactions and processing activities within approved service levels.\nSupervise and monitor branch operations staff, including Head Teller, Senior Tellers, Tellers, and Branch Service Representatives.\nCoordinate operational activities with centralized units and Head Office departments.\nMonitor branch productivity and operational efficiency to ensure service excellence.\nCash & Vault Management:\nAct as Joint Custodian of branch vaults, ATMs, CDMs, and security documents.\nMonitor branch cash holdings and maintain optimum cash balances.\nReview cash limits and ensure compliance with insurance and security requirements.\nEnsure proper safekeeping of security stationery, manager's cheques, demand drafts, and bank seals.\nInternal Control & Risk Management:\nEnsure strict adherence to operational risk management frameworks, policies, and internal controls.\nMonitor branch compliance with regulatory, AML, and compliance requirements.\nEnsure all operational processes are conducted in accordance with accepted risk and control standards.\nIdentify operational risks and implement corrective and preventive measures.\nReport control breaches, incidents, and operational risk issues to management.\nTransaction Authorization & Verification:\nReview and authorize transactions within delegated authority limits.\nVerify the accuracy, completeness, and validity of customer transactions and supporting documentation.\nReview daily transaction journals and vouchers to ensure accuracy and compliance.\nAuthorize operational documents related to account opening, deposits, remittances, lockers, loans, and other banking services.\nReconciliation & Financial Control:\nReview suspense, sundry, receivable, payable, and reconciliation accounts daily.\nEnsure timely resolution of outstanding reconciling items.\nMonitor General Ledger balances and ensure alignment with subsidiary records.\nEnsure accuracy of branch accounting and operational records.\nAudit & Compliance:\nRespond to internal audit, external audit, compliance, and regulatory inquiries.\nEnsure timely resolution of audit observations and control weaknesses.\nSupport regulatory inspections and compliance reviews.\nImplement audit recommendations and monitor action completion.\nService & Customer Experience:\nEnsure operational support functions facilitate excellent customer service delivery.\nMonitor turnaround times and service level agreements.\nResolve operational service issues impacting customers.\nSupport the Branch Manager in delivering a superior customer experience.\nFacilities & Security Management:\nEnsure CCTV systems and branch security equipment are fully operational.\nCoordinate with service providers for ATMs, CDMs, and operational equipment maintenance.\nEnsure branch records and documents are securely stored and archived according to policy.\nPeople Management:\nLead, coach, develop, and evaluate branch operations staff.\nSet performance objectives and conduct periodic performance reviews.\nIdentify training and development needs for branch employees.\nPromote a culture of accountability, compliance, teamwork, and continuous improvement.\nDrive employee engagement and capability development within the branch.\nRequirements\nEducation and Experience\nBachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Banking, Accounting, or related discipline.\nProfessional banking certifications are preferred.\nMinimum 8-10 years of banking experience.\nAt least 4-5 years in Branch Operations, Internal Control, or Branch Management.\nStrong knowledge of retail banking operations, risk management, compliance, and branch
