The role also oversees portfolio reporting, budgeting, communications and change activities to help innovation initiatives progress effectively.\nResponsibilities include:\nLead the governance and strategic direction of CBH’s innovation portfolio, ensuring initiatives align with business priorities and deliver commercially valuable outcomes.\nManage, support and develop a team of three, creating an inclusive and collaborative environment that encourages strong performance and shared accountability.\nEstablish trusted partnerships across CBH and with research institutions, industry organisations, technology providers and other external stakeholders.\nIdentify and evaluate emerging technologies, industry developments and partnership opportunities that could improve efficiency, automation and organisational capability.\nOversee portfolio performance, budgeting, reporting and change impacts, providing clear insights and recommendations to support informed decision-making.\nAbout You:\nExperience across innovation, technology, transformation, commercialisation, research or portfolio management in a large or complex organisation.\nStrong commercial judgement and the ability to connect emerging ideas, partnerships and technologies with practical business needs and measurable outcomes.\nRelevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience, with exposure to agriculture, supply chains or another operational industry viewed favourably.\nAn inclusive and supportive leadership style, with experience setting direction, developing capability and encouraging shared accountability within a team.\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to building trust across business, research, technology and industry stakeholders.\nWhy work with CBH?\nWork with meaning and being part of something bigger\nPlay a critical role in moving WA’s grain from paddocks to ports, and on to countries all around the world.
