We are what you’re looking for.\nThe Role\nJoin our Perth-based Engineering team as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, contributing to varied materials handling, port, rail and network wide improvement projects across WA.\nKnown at CBH as a Senior Specialist - Mechanical Engineer, you will provide specialist technical advice and practical engineering solutions from design through to commissioning, collaborating with operations, maintenance, project teams and contractors to deliver safe and reliable outcomes.\nThis client-side role offers technical variety across improvement projects, throughput upgrades, and brownfield and greenfield environments.\nResponsibilities include:\nSupport the development of practical mechanical designs for sustaining capital, rail, expansion and improvement projects.\nProvide specialist advice across materials handling equipment, port infrastructure and mechanical systems.\nGuide projects through design reviews, technical queries, construction support and commissioning.\nPartner with operations, maintenance, consultants and contractors to deliver safe and reliable outcomes.\nChampion engineering standards, safety in design and continuous improvement across the CBH network.\nAbout You:\nMechanical engineering qualifications supported by extensive relevant industry experience.\nThe ability to develop safe, considered and practical solutions to complex engineering challenges.\nA collaborative approach and confidence building trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.\nStrong judgement when balancing technical requirements, safety, schedules, budgets and operational needs.\nClear communication skills and a genuine commitment to supporting shared outcomes.\nWhy work with CBH?\nWork with meaning and being part of something bigger\nPlay a critical role in moving WA’s grain from paddocks to ports, and on to countries all around the world.
