We are looking for an experienced and strategic Purchasing Director to lead the teams and partnerships that keep CBH homes moving from bids and budgets through construction and field-ready execution.\nAre you an experienced leader who understands purchasing, construction operations, trade partners, vendors, and suppliers?\nDo you thrive in a fast-paced environment where cost, schedule, performance, and relationships all matter?\nAre you a strategic thinker who enjoys building strong teams, negotiating great partnerships, and finding better ways to get things done?\nIf you want to join an amazing team that works together to build dreams daily, here’s your chance.\nIn this role, you’ll:\nLead CBH's Purchasing team and provide leadership across Construction Services, Scheduling, Trade Partners, Vendors, and Suppliers\nOversee sourcing agreements, bidding, contracts, budgets, pricing, and purchasing strategy\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with trade partners, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers\nDevelop strategies that support cost control, labor continuity, construction schedules, and cycle-time commitments\nMonitor vendor and trade partner performance and hold partners accountable to expectations\nWork closely with construction and scheduling teams to ensure homes remain on track and field teams have the resources they need\nLead the resolution of field issues involving vendors, suppliers, trade partners, pricing, materials, and scheduling\nIdentify opportunities to improve purchasing processes, strengthen partnerships, optimize the supply chain, and reduce costs\nDevelop and manage strategies that support CBH's continued growth and construction goals\nLead, coach, and develop a high-performing Purchasing team\nImportant skills for this role:\nStrong leadership and team development skills\nExtensive knowledge of residential construction, purchasing, subcontractors, vendors, and trade partners\nProven experience with bidding, contracts, negotiations, budgets, pricing, and cost control\nStrong understanding of construction scheduling, labor continuity, cycle times, and field operations\nExcellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on finding practical solutions\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment\nStrategic mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement\nAbility to build accountability and strong performance across internal teams and external partners\nThis is a full-time leadership position based out of CBH Homes’ headquarters in Meridian, Idaho, available now.\nAbout CBH Homes\nhas been building dreams for Idahoans for 33 years!
