This role works cross-functionally with Infrastructure, security, project teams, and vendor management to ensure assets are tracked and optimized from acquisition through retirement, and will have an extended focus on connecting asset data with the broader operational view of IT.\nYour responsibilities will be:\nMaintain the inventory database of record for all IT assets (servers, storage, networking equipment, EUC devices), ensuring data is complete and current.\nMonitor the full lifecycle of IT assets - procurement, deployment, ongoing management, and disposal.\nConduct regular data center audits of physical assets to verify inventory accuracy and confirm compliance with company policy.\nManage secure onsite hardware disposal activities with both internal teams and external IT asset disposal vendors.\nIntegrate existing IT asset management and configuration management practices to provide a complete view of IT operations and assets.\nManage IT asset management tools, including the administration of network discovery scanning functionality.\nStrengthen and enforce asset management policies covering security, compliance, and risk management.\nPerform annual software license reconciliations to support compliance and cost optimization of vendor agreements.\nPartner with Infrastructure teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to support asset allocation for projects and initiatives.\nCoordinate IT hardware shipments globally between company locations.\nProduce regular reporting on asset utilization, performance metrics, and financial analysis of the IT infrastructure.\nIdentify and drive process improvements in asset tracking, reporting, and lifecycle management.\nReport asset status and emerging issues clearly to senior management and relevant teams.\nAssist with regulatory exams by obtaining documentation and drafting responses to regulator inquiries.\nPerform additional activities as needed. \nThe ideal candidate has:\nBachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field. \nProven experience in IT asset management, software asset management, configuration management or comparable field required. \nStrong understanding of IT platforms, infrastructure components, and asset management tools.\nExperience managing hardware and software assets at an enterprise level and/or high security environment.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. \nDetail oriented with strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills.\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple assignments/projects simultaneously. \nHands-on experience working in a data center environment, including physical asset audits and inventory reconciliation, asset tagging and barcode/RFID scanning, and rack and cabinet layout familiarity; comfort operating under data center access, safety, and change-management protocols. \nCertification preferred as a Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP), Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM), and/or Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).\nThis position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
