Support the preparation of strategic and annual operating plans.\n\nFinancial Accounting and Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with IFRS. Prepare periodic management and Board financial reports.\n\nBudgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process. Prepare periodic forecasts and variance analyses.\n\nTreasury Management: Manage organizational cash flows and liquidity. Monitor working capital requirements.\n\nCost Control and Management: Monitor expenditure against budgets. Identify cost-saving opportunities.\n\nFinancial Analysis and Decision Support: Provide financial analysis for trading, investments and trade finance. Analyse profitability and KPIs.\n\nTaxation and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax legislation. Prepare and submit tax returns.\n\nInternal Controls and Audit: Develop and maintain effective internal controls. Ensure compliance with policies and delegated authority.\n\nRequirements\n\nUndergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A postgraduate degree (MBA, MSc in Finance or Accounting) is an added advantage.\n\nProfessional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CA) is mandatory. Certification in financial management or treasury is an added advantage. Certification in trade finance is an added advantage.\n\nMinimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial management, accounting, or related fields. Experience in the financial services, commodity trading, or trade finance sectors is highly desirable. Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, treasury management, and cost control is preferred. Experience in managing a finance team is preferred.\n\nStrong knowledge of financial accounting, reporting, and financial management principles.\n\nExpertise in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling\n\nStrong knowledge of treasury management, cash flow management, and working capital management.
