We are looking for talented individual with the relevant skills and experience for a Control & Automation Technician to be based in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will report directly to the Control & Automation Specialist\nKey Duties & Responsibilities\nThe Control & Automation Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and continuously improving plant control, automation and instrumentation systems to ensure high levels of equipment reliability, availability, safety and operational performance.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform planned preventive and predictive maintenance on control, automation, instrumentation and process equipment to ensure optimal equipment availability and reliability.\n\nProvide technical breakdown support and fault-finding, including root cause analysis and resolution of complex automation, instrumentation and control-system failures.\n\nEnsure maximum reliability of process control instruments and automation systems through proactive monitoring, maintenance and timely corrective interventions.\n\nIdentify and eliminate chronic equipment failures by analysing recurring faults and implementing sustainable corrective and improvement solutions.\n\nSupport the installation, commissioning and modification of automation and control systems for new installations, plant projects and equipment improvement initiatives.\n\nDrive and support equipment and technology upgrades, ensuring plant automation systems remain aligned with current technology, operational requirements and reliability standards.\n\nContinuously improve plant processes, equipment and control systems to enhance operational efficiency, reliability, safety and overall plant performance.\n\nConduct equipment and tooling audits and prepare technical reports, identifying risks, gaps, improvement opportunities and required interventions.\n\nWork closely with Planners, Team Leaders, OEMs and other stakeholders to effectively plan and execute maintenance activities, technical interventions and equipment improvements.\n\nEnsure compliance with applicable health, safety, quality and maintenance standards, while supporting maintenance budget preparation, cost control and identification of CAPEX requirements.\n\nSkills, Experience & Education\nThe applicants should have at least a Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation & Control, Automation Engineering or a related technical field. \nTwo years’ relevant working experience in industrial automation, instrumentation and control systems, preferably within a manufacturing or process environment.\n\nDemonstrated experience in fault-finding, root cause analysis and breakdown resolution.\n\nPractical knowledge of PLC, HMI, SCADA, sensors, instrumentation, control systems and industrial electrical systems.\n\nExperience in preventive/predictive maintenance and equipment reliability improvement.\n\nExposure to equipment upgrades, commissioning and plant improvement projects.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving capability.\n\nAbility to work effectively with operations, maintenance, engineering, OEMs and other stakeholders.\n\nStrong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.\n\nWillingness to provide breakdown/on-call support when
