Our company is looking for a potential candidate to join our Finance team in the capacity of an Accountant to be based at our Head Office.The Account is responsible for ensuring the effective financial management, reporting, and compliance of the group of companies. This role supports the CFO in managing the group’s financial health and integrity, providing consolidated financial insights, and ensuring robust financial operations across subsidiaries. The ideal candidate will drive process standardization, strengthen internal controls, and support the execution of strategic financial initiatives.\nFormal Qualification required\nBCom Accounting or equivalent; CA(SA) or CIMA qualification preferred\nLegal Requirements\nValid code B driver’s license and own transport\nPassed credit and criminal checks S.A Citizen, Resident or Valid S.A Work Permit\n Financial Reporting & ConsolidationPrepare accurate and timely consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.\nEnsure compliance with IFRS and other relevant accounting standards and regulatory frameworks.\nSupport statutory reporting, audits, and external stakeholder requirements.\nDevelop and maintain group-wide reporting templates and dashboards.\nOversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements for the group.\nEnsure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.\nPresent financial performance reports to senior management and the board.\nOversee the preparation of group consolidated financial statements for all business units and subsidiaries.\nEnsure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in compliance with IFRS/GAAP.\nMonthly financial performance and provide reports to senior management.\nOversee that the financial reporting requirements of Group are met (quality and deadlines) for month end, quarterly reporting, interim and year end.\nReview of monthly, quarterly, biannual, and annual reporting to ensure that Group’ s financial statements are valid, accurate and complete and comply to the relevant accounting standards, policies and procedures\nReview of consolidated trial balance and the chair the Finance teams review of the consolidated trial balance\nCo-ordinate all external audits (interim and year-end) and internal audits ensuring that no major reporting items exist.\nReview of all the general ledger reconciliations, journals and inter/intra company transactions that imact on the Group Financial statements\nEnsure all the Group reporting requirements are met timeously\nBudgeting, Forecasting & Performance Monitoring\nCoordinate the annual budget process across group entities.\nMonitor actual performance against budget and forecast and prepare variance analyses.\nSupport business units in financial planning and scenario analysis.\nIdentify trends and provide insights for business decision-making\nManage the group budgeting process and monitor budget performance.\nAnalyze variances between actual and budgeted results.\nImplement cost-control measures to improve profitability.\nLead the group budgeting and forecasting process across departments.\nAnalyze financial results and explain budget vs actual variances\n\nSupport strategic planning through financial modeling and forecasting.\nMonitor and manage group cash flow, liquidity, and funding requirements.\nOversee banking relationships and financing arrangements.\nManage financial risk including foreign exchange and credit risk\nMonitor group cash flow, liquidity, and working capital.\nManage banking relationships and financial transactions.\nOversee payment processes and collections through ERP systems\nBusiness Owner of Financial Accounting Processes, including the following sub -
