The Junior EIT would also assist with preparation of proposal documents and cost estimates and project management tasks in accordance with CCI Inc.’s codes, standards, and procedures.\n\nThe successful candidate will support the trenchless department, working with and supporting engineers and drafters in the execution of projects. This is an EIT role, and the incumbent will work under the supervision of a P.Eng. \n\nAccountabilities:\nAssist with the planning, design, and delivery of trenchless engineering projects, including HDD, direct pipe, microtunneling, auger boring, and other trenchless construction methods. \nPrepare and review engineering drawings, technical reports, specifications, and design packages under the guidance of senior engineers. \nComplete engineering calculations related to crossing design, pipe stress analysis, and other trenchless design requirements. \nSupport evaluations of trenchless crossing feasibility and constructability. \nAssist in the preparation of permit applications, construction documents, and regulatory submissions. \nParticipate in project meetings and site visits; assist with meeting minutes, action-item tracking, and project coordination activities. \nSupport project managers with scheduling, budgeting, progress tracking, and project documentation. \nAssist in the preparation of proposals, work plans, cost estimates, and project execution strategies. \nCoordinate with clients, contractors, subconsultants, and regulatory agencies as required. \nContribute to the development of trenchless engineering standards, best practices, and lessons learned documentation. \nMaintain awareness of industry standards, emerging trenchless technologies, and applicable regulations. \nWork collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including geotechnical, environmental, and pipeline engineers. \nSupport health, safety, and environmental initiatives and comply with all company and client safety requirements. \nOther duties and responsibilities as assigned.\n\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor degree in Engineering from an accredited university (Civil, Geotechnical, or Mechanical preferred).\nRegistered or eligible for registration as an Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) with APEGA or another Canadian provincial engineering association.\n0-3 years of relevant engineering experience; experience in trenchless, pipeline, utility, or geotechnical projects is considered an asset.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare clear technical documentation and effectively communicate with clients, contractors, and project team members.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams. \nFamiliarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D or Google Earth is considered an asset.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to evaluate technical information and develop practical solutions. \nExcellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.\nSelf-motivated and able to work effectively both independently and within multidisciplinary project teams. \nWillingness to travel periodically for site visits, construction support, and client meetings.\n\nBenefits:\nCCI offers industry-competitive extended health benefits and RRSP plans;\nCCI supports our employees with professional development opportunities and payment of professional dues;
