If you are an attentive listener, fast-thinker, and problem-solver, with the ability to relate to different people, you are a match for CCS.\nPosition Summary:\nProcesses prescription orders, troubleshoots and NDC changes on prepared orders, batches and collates patient paperwork, pulls correct medications, fills pharmacy orders, and assists in the packing and shipping of prescriptions.\nThis position is on-site at our Clearwater, FL location\nResponsibilities\nPossesses a strong pharmacy knowledge base including translation of sig codes, product selection, basic knowledge of brand and generic drugs by name \nStrong working knowledge of filling prescription orders; processes queues, prescription refills, department To-Do’s and entire troubleshooting process \nPerforms administrative functions of sorting, scanning and filing prescriptions \nCompletes daily cycle counts and reconciles inventory \nMaintains a working knowledge of the specific pharmacy area/functions hired to work in as well as cross training in other areas throughout the pharmacy as indicated by management \nPrepares, packages and affixes proper auxiliary labels on a timely basis specifying name of drug, strength, route of administration and quantity \nPlaces proper paperwork along with an initialed shipping slip and the medication all together for the pharmacist approval \nInventories and restocks the pharmacy when supplies diminish, including checking in/putting away the order in its proper place in a timely fashion \nAssembles boxes for shipment and stocking supplies used to ship \nPerforms all functions associated with the returns and destroys process \nPerforms the functions associated with packing a medication order upon completion of pharmacist final check. \nCompletes expiration dating review of all medications on a scheduled basis or at each restocking period and quarantine medications for destruction \nWorks with vendors and wholesalers and performs functions associated with inventory control \nRequired attendance for all mandatory physical inventories \nMaintains a working knowledge of assigned specific pharmacy area/functions as well as cross training in other areas throughout the pharmacy as indicated by management \nCourteously assists all customers, internal and external \nAchieves stated goals and objectives as outlined by managements \nMaintains a high degree of confidentiality at all times due to access to sensitive information \nMaintains regular, predictable, consistent attendance and is flexible to meet the needs of the department \nFollows all Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and Private Insurance regulations and requirements \nAbides by all regulations, policies, procedures and standards \nQualifications\nHigh School diploma or GED equivalent, a minimum 1 year working as a Pharmacy Technician, or equivalent combination of education and experience \nMaintains in good standing registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the state \n Maintains all required continuing education for registration and certifications \nAbility to stand for long periods of time \nAbility to speak effectively with patients and doctors offices during calls \nAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals \nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral and diagram form. \nAbility to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations \nMust be flexible regards work schedule.
