Commensurate experience can be considered in lieu of degree.\nIdeal 1 year experience in residential care facility; supervisory experience preferred.\nIdeal 1 year experience working in school or inpatient setting working with young people with behaviors rooted in trauma.\nMust possess a valid driver’s license.\nLicensures/Certifications:\nMust pass enhanced federal background check \nClearance with the National Sex Offender Registry\nRequirements:\nMust be dedicated to the mission and vision of Canopy Village.\nMust be able to relate with all people of the community regardless of sexual, ethnic, racial, religious background, or socio-economic level.\nMust possess emotional and professional maturity, stability, tactfulness, and good decision-making skills.\nMust always adhere to the Confidentiality, Privacy, HIPAA Policy.\nMust have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.\nMust complete all background requirements.\nAcknowledgement of child abuse reporting responsibility.\nEmployment is contingent upon receiving a clearing from appropriate authorities.\nMust use reasonable precautions in the performance of one’s duties and adhere to all applicable safety rules and practices; and act in such a manner as to ensure at all times maximum safety to oneself, children, colleagues, and visitors.\nRequired Skills/Abilities:\nExperience with crisis intervention, working with youth in crisis, and with individuals undergoing acute episodes of psychiatric distress.\nSkills in supervising, evaluating, and disciplining staff of professionals and paraprofessionals.\nFamiliarity with community support systems, health care and human service resources, court and police activities, etc.\nGood organizational skills and administrative abilities.\nKnowledge of and the ability to adhere to a professional code of ethics.\nPhysical Demand Analysis:\nGeneral Physical Requirements\nMedium work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
