This role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of our public cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security of cloud resources. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with leading public cloud platforms (AWS and Azure), strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to support business operations.\nKey Responsibilities:\nCloud Infrastructure Management and Support:\nMonitor and manage the health and performance of cloud-based resources (e.g., virtual machines, storage, networks, databases).\nProvide technical support for issues related to public cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.\nEnsure cloud resources are properly configured and optimized for performance, cost, and security.\nParticipate in On-call rotations\nIncident Management and Troubleshooting:\nRespond to and resolve incidents and service requests related to public cloud environments.\nInvestigate and diagnose cloud service issues, escalating to senior engineers or cloud providers when needed.\nEnsure proper root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes for recurring issues.\nDeployment and Automation:\nAssist in deployment and management of cloud-based applications and services using CI/CD pipelines\nHelp automate repetitive tasks using cloud automation tools (Terraform and Ansible).\nCollaboration and Documentation:\nWork closely with development and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues.\nProvide technical support and training to internal teams on cloud best practices and new services.\nDocument FAQ, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and troubleshooting guides.\nPerformance Monitoring and Optimization:.\nAct on alerts and tune the environment. \nOptimize cloud usage and ensure resources are right-sized properly.\nSecurity and Compliance:\nMonitor cloud environments for security vulnerabilities and compliance issues, utilizing AWS security tools like Guard Duty and AWS Shield.\nAssist in maintaining cloud security standards in alignment with internal policies and industry best practices.\nSupport audits and assist with ensuring compliance with regulations\nPreferred Qualifications:\nProven experience with public cloud platforms (AWS / Azure).\nSolid understanding of cloud networking, compute, storage, and security services.\nExtensive experience with AWS Cloud Platform and its services.\nFamiliar with ci/cd tools such as Harness, bamboo or github actions.\nExperience with Infrastructure as code such as terraform and Ansible.\nUnderstanding of cloud security concepts like IAM (Identity and Access Management), VPC (Virtual Private Cloud), encryption, and multi-factor authentication (MFA).\nExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.\nPrevious experience providing operational support to both AWS and Azure environments.\nAbility to work independently and within a team environment.\nStrong communication skills.\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nAbility to stay updated with emerging cloud technologies and integrate them into operations.\n*Non-discrimination clause\nThe employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily and, if requested, reasonable accommodations will be made to enable employees with disabilities to perform the essential functions of their job, absent undue hardship.\nCDK retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position as needed.\nEqual Employment Opportunity (EEO)\nAt CDK, we believe inclusion and diversity are essential in inspiring meaningful connections among our people.
