CDL Nuclear Technologies is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Architectural Project and Cost Coordinator to support the planning, design, financial coordination, and delivery of healthcare imaging facility projects across the country.
This is not a traditional architectural design position.
This unique, dual-function role combines architectural expertise with project cost coordination, serving as an important connection between our Project Management and Finance teams. The ideal candidate can confidently review architectural drawings and specifications while also monitoring budgets, invoices, committed costs, and potential financial risks.
You will provide architectural guidance across a high-volume portfolio of healthcare and imaging projects, coordinate with internal and external project partners, and help ensure that design decisions and project costs remain aligned throughout each phase of development.
If you enjoy applying your architectural background beyond design alone and want greater involvement in budgeting, contractor proposals, financial reporting, and project execution, this may be the ideal opportunity for you.

- Write and edit architectural specifications using independent analysis and design knowledge

- Participate in project-site visits throughout the United States as needed
Project Cost and Financial Coordination
- Support project budget development and ongoing budget management in partnership with Project Management and Finance
- Review contractor bids and supporting documents for scope, completeness, and cost reasonableness
- Track project invoices, waivers, committed costs, actual costs, and related financial documentation
- Partner with Finance on payment reconciliation by matching invoices and disbursements against project commitments
- Identify cost variances, potential overruns, and emerging financial risks
- Review change orders and related financial impacts
- Escalate cost or compliance concerns before they affect project delivery
- Advise Project Managers on architectural, budgeting, and project cost matters
Cross-Functional Project Support
- Serve as a primary liaison between the Project Management and Finance teams
- Translate architectural decisions into clear financial and project considerations
- Help Project Managers maintain visibility into project budgets and cost risks
- Communicate complex architectural and financial information to a variety of stakeholders
- Balance multiple deadlines and competing priorities across a high-volume project portfolio
