This individual will be part of the Development group, helping design and implement cloud-based solutions facilitating CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring that software development and operations teams work collaboratively. An ideal candidate will be a critical thinker, proactive, and highly interested in the application of new technologies and methods.\n\nKey responsibilities :\n\n- Take ownership of projects and work independently in a collaborative environment.\n\n- Engage in project workshops, collaborating with stakeholders and software developers to design database schemas and data models.\n\n- Establish security measures for safeguarding private data, including encryption and access controls, and conduct routine database audits.\n\n- Consistently monitor database performance and identify bottlenecks.\n\n- Develop and oversee a strategy for disaster recovery (DRM) to prevent data loss.\n\n- Implement data governance procedures and ensure compliance with regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, or HIPAA.\n\n- Manage and maintain databases, conduct routine maintenance, and ensure data availability and integrity.\n\n- Collaborate with data analysts to provide well-structured data and insights for business intelligence.\n\n- Support Azure SQL, NoSQL, and other database needs.\n\n- Utilize programming skills such as SQL, Python, and PowerShell to interact with databases and incorporate them into applications.\n\n- Conduct continuous R&D to provide the team with innovative database features and capabilities.\n\nSkills and Abilities :\n\n- Extensive DBA expertise in large-scale SQL Server settings, including Azure managed instance databases.\n\n- Proficient in high- and low-level design (HLD and LLD), including ER diagrams, data models, and data pipeline flow.\n\n- Proficient in database design, managing high-volume Azure SQL configurations, and performance optimization.\n\n- Experience managing data warehouses, data lakes, and Databricks.\n\n- Knowledge of Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO).\n\n- Proficiency with SQL, Python, PowerShell, and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps).\n\n- Strong understanding of database security best practices and Azure cloud infrastructure.\n\nMinimum Qualifications :\n\n- Bachelor's degree.\n\n- 5 years of related experience.\n\n- Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree.\n\nPreferred Qualifications :\n\n- Azure certifications (DP-300/DP-900).\n\n- Bachelor's degree in software development, Engineering, or related
