The Assistant Production Manager will implement a production schedule to meet all customer needs, supervise the Production Workers, and coordinate quality assurance activities.\nEssential Job Functions:\nCoordinate job duties of production floor staff in preparation of product for warehouse storage and shipping \nDirectly supervise Production Workers; responsible for all aspects of supervision\nComplete performance appraisals as scheduled \nEnsure that all production, quality, and staffing needs are met. \nCoordinate all quality assurance activities for operations, per Safe Quality Foods program and requirements\nVerify all daily reports and metrics and submit the daily production documentation. \nMeet all Unistel operations goals and objectives\nFollow up on customer service concerns as they arise\nCoordinate and approve time off requests for all assigned staff \nResponsible for hiring and coaching of production staff.\nProvide relevant in-service training to assigned staff. \nEnsure assigned staff is compliant with all required training.\nAssist with cross coverage of other Unistel activities to maintain quality services.\nAttend mandatory education and training sessions, as required.\nPerform other duties as assigned by supervisor\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nAbility to work independently and in a team structure\nAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and written\nKnowledge and use of ERP systems for inventory monitoring and scheduling needs\nAbility to utilize Microsoft software, including Excel, Word, and Outlook\nEducation and Experience:\nAssociates degree preferred.\nTwo years industrial experience in a supervisory capacity. \nForklift/Tow Motor experience/certification.\nThe ability to lift 50 pounds dead weight.\nMust have a valid NYS Driver’s License.\n\nAll experience and education requirements, except when required by federal, state, or local laws or requirements, may be waived at the discretion of management with the approval of the Chief Operating Officer, in collaboration with Human Resources.\n\nPhysical Requirements/Working Conditions:\nSedentary working environment\nAbility to reach above shoulder level.\nAbility to turn/twist upper body.\nAble to use hand repetitive action for fine manipulating, keyboarding and typing.\nCorporate Qualifications/Expectations:\nAdhere to all CDS Life Transitions, Inc. policies and procedures.\nAdhere to the Agency Mission, Vision, Shared Values, and Customer Service Standards.\nAttend mandatory education and training modules as scheduled; obtain and maintain all required certifications/training by State regulations and CDS policy\nAct as a professional representative of CDS Life Transitions, Inc. in regard to appearance, behavior, temperament, communication, language, and dress.\nThe statements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed but are not to be a complete list of responsibilities, duties, skills, required of personnel so classified.
