The variety of interesting equipment with specialty components combined with the tools needed to do great work are a few reasons our shop team loves working here.\nWhat we offer:\nCompetitive wages\nExcellent benefits, health spending account and matching pension contributions starting on your first day!\n14x14 shift with 12-hour days \n Variety of equipment to work on: from skid steers to T&E Pumps on pressure and vacuum equipment (Cummins, Paccar, and loaders too!)\nCamp provided\nSafety is number 1: we watch out for one another and pride ourselves in doing the work right the first time\nKey Duties and Responsibilities:\nPreventative maintenance on Vacuum trucks, Combos, Water Trucks, Tankers, Skid-steers and Pressure Trucks\nOngoing diagnostic and repair of diesel engines, after treatment/emissions, hydraulic systems and pumps\nTroubleshoot issues, inspect equipment and replace or repair defective parts\nInterpret work orders\nOccasionally attend service calls in the field \nWork alongside Journeyman to learn and develop your skills \nAttend daily tool-box and safety meetings as scheduled\nOther duties as assigned\nRole Specifications:\nRegistered Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technician or higher required\nValid class 5 Driver’s licence required (non GDL) clean 5 year abstract\nClass 1 or 3 licence considered an asset\nExperience in hydraulic, electrical, and pump systems is an asset\nAble to provide a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test\nAble to provide your own tools\nSkills:\nYou’re happiest working in a team and getting the job done safely, as well as working independently on various projects in the shop\nYou’re eager to learn and thrive in a busy shop environment\n The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
