The Logistics Technician is primarily accountable for transporting supplies and equipment interdepartmentally and patients in all age groups. The Logistics Technician identifies safety concerns in the age-related population; institutes protective measures to provide a safe environment, and identifies normal growth and developmental milestones in neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients.Observes safety guidelines in transporting supplies, specimens and equipment. \nUtilizes appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when assisting in patient care. \nTakes appropriate steps in maintaining equipment including those used for patient transport. \nReports observations and outcomes of activities performed. \nReduces the risk of patient harm resulting from falls -observes patient for risk of falling and takes action to prevent patient falls. \nDemonstrates knowledge of normal growth and development in patient population. \nImproved the accuracy of patient identification: uses two identifiers when transporting patient between units/departments. \nReduces the risk of health care acquired infection by complying with current CDC hand washing guidelines and CSMC isolation policy. \nOther duties as assigned. \n EducationHigh School Diploma/GED -
