This individual will serve as the functional leader for Operations and will be responsible for ensuring reliable product availability, efficient distribution, regulatory-compliant international trade activities, and scalable operational processes that support continued growth.\nA critical priority for this role will be improving end-to-end supply planning and inventory management processes while strengthening operational visibility, forecasting accuracy, fulfillment performance, and logistics execution across global markets. This position will provide strategic oversight of third-party logistics providers, transportation partners, and operational systems while helping build long-term organizational capability through process standardization, continuous improvement, and operational excellence initiatives.\nThe role serves as a strategic and hands-on partner across Quality & Regulatory Affairs, Finance, Customer Service, Product Development, Commercial, and leadership teams to ensure operational excellence, business continuity, and scalable growth.\nEssential Responsibilities\nSupply Planning & Inventory Management\nOwn and lead the organization's supply planning process to ensure product availability while optimizing inventory investment and working capital.\nDevelop and maintain integrated demand and supply planning processes in partnership with Commercial, Finance, Customer Service, and Supply Chain stakeholders.\nMonitor inventory levels, safety stock strategies, product availability, and inventory health across all distribution channels.\nLead inventory planning activities to support product launches, promotions, market expansion, and business continuity.\nEstablish operational metrics and reporting to measure forecast accuracy, inventory performance, service levels, and supply reliability.\nIdentify and mitigate supply risks through proactive planning, scenario analysis, and contingency strategies.\nSupport Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes and executive decision-making.\nLogistics & Fulfillment Leadership\nProvide strategic oversight of domestic and international logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and third-party logistics providers.\nLead initiatives to improve fulfillment efficiency, order accuracy, delivery performance, and customer experience.\nManage relationships with logistics providers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and distribution partners.\nMonitor logistics performance metrics and implement corrective actions to improve service and reduce cost.\nDevelop scalable fulfillment processes supporting growth across ecommerce, distributor, and retail channels.\nEnsure efficient movement of products while maintaining compliance with applicable transportation and trade regulations.\nEvaluate and implement operational improvements that enhance speed, visibility, and operational efficiency.\nImport/Export Compliance & Global Trade\nServe as the operational lead for import/export compliance activities supporting global distribution.\nEnsure compliance with applicable customs, trade, import, export, and transportation regulations.\nOversee product classifications, country-of-origin requirements, customs documentation, and trade records.\nPartner with Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Legal, and external advisors to assess regulatory impacts on global trade activities.\nSupport audits, assessments, and regulatory inquiries related to import/export operations.\nMonitor evolving trade requirements and proactively implement process improvements to maintain compliance.\nOperational Excellence & Business Process Improvement\nLead continuous improvement initiatives across operational processes, systems, and workflows.\nIdentify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, mitigate risk, and enhance customer satisfaction.\nEstablish key performance indicators and management reporting processes to improve operational visibility and accountability.\nSupport business continuity planning, operational risk assessments, and supply chain resilience initiatives.\nLead cross-functional projects supporting scalability, automation, and operational maturity.\nDrive data-driven decision making through analysis of operational performance metrics and trends.\nLeadership & Cross-Functional Partnership\nLead, mentor, and develop Operations, Supply Chain, and Logistics personnel.\nProvide operational leadership across Customer Service, Finance, Quality & Regulatory Affairs, Product Development, Commercial, and leadership teams.\nAct as an internal subject matter expert for supply chain management, logistics, fulfillment operations, and trade compliance.\nSupport employee training initiatives related to operational processes and systems.\nProvide operational guidance during business planning, product launch, supplier management, and strategic growth initiatives.\nFoster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, collaboration, and customer focus.\nQualifications\nEducation\nBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field required.\nMBA or advanced degree preferred.\nExperience\n8-12+ years of progressive operations, supply chain, logistics, or fulfillment leadership experience.\nExperience managing contract manufacturing partners and suppliers\nDemonstrated experience within the medical device industry or another highly regulated industry such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, diagnostics, aerospace, or healthcare technology.\nProven experience managing global supply chains, international logistics, and inventory planning functions.\nDemonstrated experience overseeing third-party logistics providers, distribution partners, and transportation networks.\nExperience supporting import/export compliance programs and international trade operations.\nExperience leading Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), demand planning, or integrated business planning processes.\nDemonstrated success improving operational performance, inventory management, and customer service levels.\nExperience supporting global commercial operations and multi-country distribution networks preferred.\nKnowledge & Skills\nStrong understanding of supply planning, inventory management, logistics, fulfillment operations, and global trade compliance.\nKnowledge of import/export regulations, customs requirements, and international transportation practices.\nStrong understanding of ERP systems, operational reporting, and supply chain planning tools.\nExcellent analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities.\nStrong project management and organizational skills.\nAbility to identify operational risks and develop practical mitigation strategies.\nExcellent communication and cross-functional influencing skills.\nStrong leadership presence and ability to drive organizational change.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.\nPreferred
