You will manage the on-site project team in obtaining, evaluating, and coordinating all information needed to construct the energy efficiency project in accordance with the contract documents and to assure that the work meets all safety standards. Our offices are located in Arlington, VA.\nResponsibilities will include a wide variety of tasks related, including:\nSupervise and provide oversight for Associate Project Managers, Superintendents, and subcontractor personnel\nOversee implementation of a comprehensive set of Energy Conservation Measures\nEnsure subcontractor compliance with CEG and site-specific safety standards, codes, regulations, and assist with the implementation of the site safety program\nManage client relationships and ensure customer satisfaction\nPrepare and manage project schedules, bid processes and subcontract negotiations\nManage project in accordance with the budget\nReview and approve expenditures and subcontractor draw requests\nAssist with identifying unknown risks, managing risk impact and how they will be addressed and mitigated\nOversee on-site safety and quality control programs\nDrive the technical due diligence through the implementation phase by identifying known risks (i.e., technical, construction, price, schedule, environmental, warranties, performance guarantees, etc.) and managing the impact of different risks\nImplement measurement based monitoring and verification plans and protocols, commissioning protocols, and associated post implementation operations & maintenance protocols\nAssist with project and business development responsibilities during development and implementation\nBasic Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree, specifically in engineering or construction management or equivalent of 15+years expereince\nMinimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction project management or project engineering in building construction and energy systems i.e. HVAC, controls, site work, central utilities, electrical, and M&P\nExperience and competency with Project Management Software (MS Project, Primavera, etc.)\nWe seek talented individuals who possess the following:\nPassion for energy efficiency, alternative energy, and sustainability\nStrong project management, team leadership, and construction management skills\nProven experience in energy systems project implementation, including performance contracts, is preferred\nAbility to flex to irregular work hours during implementation\nAbility to provide project management to a team of superintendents and subcontractors\nDemonstrated ability to function in high performing, multi-disciplinary teams that provide reliable customer satisfaction\nAbility to anticipate challenges and proactively resolve them\nKnowledge and experience with safety and quality control standards and procedures\nExperience and competency in project commissioning activities and project controls (logs, reports, etc.)\nProven aptitude along with strong written and verbal communication skills\nSelf-directed personality with a commitment to excellence\nWillingness to travel 80% of the time or relocate.\nOSHA-30 certification preferred\n Physical Demands and Work Environment\nPerformance of the job responsibilities will require the ability to (1) use tools and operate equipment in the field, (2) ascend/descend both exterior and interior ladders/stairs, and (3) move safely around an area under construction. The employee must also be able to easily communicate with clients, stakeholders, and other employees and observe various pieces of equipment in the field.
