Reporting to a Production Supervisor, this role requires the assembly of electrical switchgear and associated equipment/systems to engineering drawings and production timescales, working to the highest levels of quality, environmental, health and safety standards.\nMain Duties:\n· Follow the Company's Quality Control, Environmental, Health and Safety Procedures\n· Build LV electrical switchgear panels to approved schematic, mechanical and general assembly drawings\n· Wire panels and components in accordance with schematic specifications\n· Carry out assembly and sub-assembly of mechanical and electrical components\n· Install and terminate cables in the correct manner in line with electrical standards\n· Diagnose and rectify operational snags identified during pre-FAT testing, reporting any defective parts\n· Prepare approved panels by leaving panel split lines in an organised manner for the site team to install\n· Support the wrapping and preparation of finished products for shipment\n· Mentor and develop team members\n· Maintain area housekeeping standards to ensure a consistent and audit-ready state\n· Assist in other departments as required daily\n· Carry out any other duties within associated departments as requested by the Production Supervisor\n· Apply sound knowledge of engineering tools and electrical hand tools and equipment, including torquing\nRequirements\nQualified Electrician\n· Experience in manufacturing is essential, preferably within the LV switchgear industry\n· Proven experience working on the assembly of both mechanical and electrical equipment\n· Positive attitude, flexible working and able to work overtime as required\n· Flexibility and adaptability to respond to a fast-moving business environment\n· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills\n· Excellent verbal and written communication skills\n· Able to work independently and as part of a team\n· Well-organised, self-motivated and able to multi-task\n· Previous experience in site service work and familiarity with Risk Assessments and Method Statements would be beneficial\nBenefits\nWhat We Offer:\nCompetitive salary -
