This role is critical in maintaining product reliability, safety and compliance with industry regulations in our Power Distribution Units (PDUs), Remote Power Panels (RPPs), and UL 891 switchgear. The Test Technician will collaborate with various departments to identify and resolve quality issues and ensure we maintain highest product standards throughout the production process. The successful candidate will be passionate about what they do, thrive in a fast-paced environment, be ready to develop and grow their skills.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nTesting & Inspection:\nPerform functional, electrical and mechanical tests on LV switchgear assemblies.\nVerify wiring, torque settings and component installation against engineering drawings.\nConduct insulation resistance, continuity and operational checks per test procedures.\nCollaborate with design and production teams to decide testing requirements.\nParticipate in our customer FAT / FOK / FWT processes.\nTroubleshoot and rectify electrical issues found during testing.\nSafety & Compliance:\nEnsure all testing activities comply with electrical safety standards and company procedures.\nUse appropriate PPE and follow lockout / tagout protocols during testing.\nDocumentation:\nComplete detailed test reports and maintain accurate records of results for relevant stakeholders.\nReport non-conformances and assist in root cause analysis.\nEquipment & Tools:\nOperate and maintain test equipment e.g. multi-meters, insulation testers, high-potential testers.\nEnsure all tools utilised in our testing program comply with our calibration program, ensuring they are in good working condition.\nContinuous Improvement:\nCapture data on repeated failure modes to the Production / Supply Chain team to ensure we drive continuous improvement across all feed-in processes.\nDevelop and maintain excellent professional relationships with production, project management, and engineering, ensuring clear and effective communication.\nProvide feedback on test procedures and suggest improvements.\nSupport quality initiatives and participate in corrective actions when required.\nRequirements\nAssociate's degree in electrical power distribution or related field.\n+3 years' experience working in an Electrical Testing role is desired.\nFamiliar with all relevant standards including UL, NEMA, ANSI, and NETA, and maintain NFPA 70E.\nExperience in product testing, inspection and quality audits.\nKnowledge of data analysis tools for identifying trends and discrepancies.\nExperience working within a Manufacturing environment.\nExperience in Microsoft Packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).\nExpertise in power distribution products such as switchgear, switchboards, PDUs, RPPs etc.\nNFPA 70E certification is preferred but will be provided by CEL.\nKnowledge of industry standards, including UL891, UL62368-1, UL508A, UL67, UL1008, UL1008S, UL1558.\nExcellent organizational skills, attention-to-detail, and multitasking capability.\nProfessional communication skills suitable for interfacing with customers.\nBenefits\nCompetitive salary and performance-based incentives\nHealth, dental, and vision insurance\n401(k) retirement plan\nPaid time off and holidays\nProfessional development and career advancement opportunities\nA dynamic and growing team focused on innovation and excellence\nWe strongly believe that seeking out and hiring the most diverse talent and creating an inclusive workplace is the way to create an exceptional and innovative workplace for our employees which will deliver excellence in service to our customers.
