The position works within a larger project management team and is responsible for specific scope while integrating with all other disciplines of project management. The scope of work this position will focus on is demolition, interior fit up, landscape, and Civil. Experience in these areas is an asset. The project manager will have visibility to a large variety of construction disciplines and will deepen your knowledge base and advance your career. You will be part of a project management team that provides services covering all phases of a major project, from planning to pre-construction, design and construction management. Our group carries out projects associated with a major project program across Canada.\n\nKEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nKEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\nMonitor project expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets \nPrepare and present regular project update reports for internal stakeholders and executive leadership \nProvide insight and commentary on financial performance, identifying key cost drivers and financial risks \nSupport change order reviews and ensure appropriate financial governance is applied. \nProvide input to financial risk registers, including contingency tracking and drawdown. \nEnsure adherence to internal controls, financial policies and capital governance frameworks \nSupport audits and reviews by providing documentation and rationale for financial decisions \nMaintain compliance with funding requirements, regulatory standards and stakeholder reporting obligations. \nEnsure data integrity and main accurate records \nIdentify project risks, and develop and implement mitigation and contingency plans. \nEstablish and maintains effective client relationships. \nSolve issues and provide support, manage customer expectations and ensure customer satisfaction. \nCollaborate with project stakeholders to develop bilingual project communication notices to inform clients and tenants of changes to the campus.\nKNOWLEDGE & SKILLS\nUniversity degree or college diploma, preferably in project management, architectural technology, construction technology, engineering or engineering technology, or equivalent work experience.\n1 to 3 years of project management work experience; or 5 to 7 years of project coordination work experience.\nBilingual in French and English.\nProject management - proven ability and experience in delivering projects on-time, on-budget, within specifications and in-compliant with all requirements including but not limited to regulatory, environmental, health, and safety requirements.\nProject Budget management - proven ability and experience in developing and managing budgets.\nProject risk mitigation and management - proven ability and experience in mitigating and managing project risks.\nCommunication - strong communication, influence, persuasion, and negotiation skills.\nRelationship building - proven ability and experience in building and maintaining effective relationships.\nClient management - proven ability and experience in managing client relationships and expectations.\nClient service orientation - strong client service orientation.\nProject team leadership - proven ability and experience in project team leadership.\nVendor management - proven ability and experience in managing vendor performance.\nQuality - possesses a continuous improvement and quality mindset along with a desire to continuously seek and incorporate best practices and technologies in order to optimize program delivery and deliver value to the client.\nComputer proficiency - proficient in and experience with MS Office suite of applications along with proven ability to quickly learn new applications.\nLicenses and/or Professional Accreditation\nOne or more of the following, an asset:\nProject Management Institute Accreditation, in progress. \nLEED certification;
