Specifically, these responsibilities include but not limited to:\nFull involvement with recruiting talent.\nProvides mentoring, coaching and guidance to all team members.\nObjectively recommends compensation adjustments.\nManages all aspects of performance.\nStrategic Category Management Planning & Delivery\nEngage concerned parties to understand business requirements.\nDevelop, recommend and implement category plans. \nEnsure that major procurement initiatives are completed in accordance with corporate sourcing policies and procedures, and that the resulting contractual agreements liaise with Risk Management, Legal Counsel, and Finance as needed.\nSourcing Strategy\nPlan and execute initiatives to achieve BGIS’s strategic sourcing goals and objectives. \nLead the review and measurement of the effectiveness of the strategy.\nOperate as the “project manager” to ensure initiatives are completed on schedule. \nEnsure that the financial terms of major supplier agreements are optimized by leveraging the buying power of the BGIS group of companies and parent organizations. \nNegotiate volume discount and rebate structures within major agreements, wherever possible.\nEscalate and resolve implementation issues as required.\nOpportunities Assessment & Implementation\nPerform sourcing opportunity assessment analyses to help prioritize the initiatives that will best support the corporate sourcing strategy and Customer Business Group objectives.\nAchieve improvements in operational efficiencies and cost savings as a result.\nIdentify the required subject matter expertise and resources to effectively execute priority procurement initiatives. Then team with applicable BGIS Customer Business Groups, Lines of Business, and Central Support team members to execute each initiative. Identify and source 3rd party subject matter expertise and / or resources as needed.\nCompetitive Bids\nManage end-to-end competitive bid process for assigned categories.\nNegotiate with suppliers to secure optimum cost and maximum value.\nSupplier Contractual Agreements\nLeads the negotiation, development, implementation, amendments and monitoring of supplier contractual agreements.\nStrategic Sourcing Best Practices & Industry Trends\nMaintain in-depth and current category knowledge as well as knowledge of strategic sourcing best practices and industry trends.\nProvide category and strategic sourcing subject matter expertise. \nDecision Making Capacity\nDevelop procurement approaches that yield highest client and BGIS value; ability to develop and format compelling business cases; approaches and process impact BGIS cost of procurement, team effectiveness. \nNegotiate and interpret contracts on behalf of BGIS g: BGIS financial risk, adherence to Client contractual obligations, term of agreement and exit provisions, client service satisfaction, cost to client; with support available make decisions with respect to best approach toward contracts.\nAct as first escalation point for contract issues - decisions may affect BGIS legal standing, cost of and/or probability of legal costs. \nEnsure maintenance of proper documentation and supporting process to meet BGIS, Client and business process needs.\nSpecial projects as assigned.\nKNOWLEDGE & SKILLS\nCommunity College Diploma with 5-10 years of relevant experience.\nKnowledge of strategic sourcing requirements and practices. Maintains current knowledge.\nHas outsourcing knowledge.\nLeadership skills and ability to influence multiple concerned parties and engage their support and consensus.\nConsiderable experience negotiating IT and Corporate Services Agreements to drive efficiency and savings.\nExceptional conflict management / resolution skills.\nAdvanced written and verbal communication skills - executive report writing.\nAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously.\nAbility to develop and execute supplier contract agreements.\nAbility to become engaged in issues outside of direct experience, quickly and effectively grasp key process elements and lead discussion with other concerned parties to determine root cause issues and make added-value policy and process recommendations and changes.\nTeam facilitation, management, and leadership experience and demonstrated ability to lead teams.\nHighly advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAdvanced competency in MS Office applications.\nAdvanced influence, persuasion and negotiation skills.\nHigh degree of business ethics and accountability.\nHigh degree of client service orientation.\nPossesses a team spirit and strong collaboration.\nExceptional interpersonal skills.\nTenacity to overcome challenges to deliver on commitments.\nFrench proficiency is considered an asset.\nLicenses and/or Professional Accreditation\nSupply Chain Management Professional Designation preferred.\nThis is a regular, full-time position with a salary range of $96,322 - $120,402 per annum.
