Builds internal and external relationships that require exchanging information and providing some explanations in a problem solving capacity.\nDetailed Description\nPerforms tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:\nProvides complex technical support for testing integrated L11 rack systems and fully populated server enclosures.\nSets up and executes tests, diagnostic software, and validation procedures on complete server and network racks.\nReads and analyzes rack elevation drawings, cable routing maps, and network topologies.\nAssists in the design, setup, and debugging of network test cables and rack-level testing equipment.\nExecutes and modifies basic Python scripts to automate rack validation, parse log files, and streamline data collection.\nDeploys firmware updates and updates test bed software across rack components.\nKnowledge/Skills/Competencies\nEngineering Foundation Competencies.\nFamiliarity with the Linux OS environment and basic command-line competency for system configuration and log analysis.\nSolid understanding of networking basics (TCP/IP, VLANs, subnetting, switch configuration, and troubleshooting rack connectivity).\nBasic Python programming skills to run, modify, or debug test automation scripts.\nExposure to L11 rack integration concepts (handling server nodes, top-of-rack switches, and PDUs).\nStrong knowledge of system-level testing, infrastructure validation, and debugging procedures.\nAbility to read and interpret product specifications, rack layouts, and wiring diagrams.\nAbility to use hand and power tools required for rack assembly.\nAbility to analyze equipment, troubleshoot network or hardware problems, and make appropriate replacements.\nKnowledge of personal computers, Windows applications, and quality standards.\nAbility to effectively communicate with a variety of internal customers.\nPhysical Demands\nDuties of the position are performed in a manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, hazardous substances, etc.\nDuties require extended periods of sustained visual concentration on detailed documentation and product assemblies.\nDuties of the position require periodic light physical effort and exertion including prolonged repetitive motions, sitting in confined workspaces, using tools and equipment, and moving and handling materials.\nDuties may require periodic heavy manual effort including lifting objects over 20 pounds.\nTypical Experience\nTwo to Four years relevant experience\nTypical Education\nTwo or three year community college diploma in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nEducational requirements may vary by geography.\nNotes\nThis job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities of the position.
