Incumbents carry out assignments within well-defined practices, procedures and policies. Works independently on details of assignments, and has limited decision-making authority; most decisions are made or guided by the immediate supervisor. Decisions/actions may have an impact on the department's/divisions goals. Works under close Supervision and requires direction on how assignments are to be executed; begins to put forward ideas on how work assignments are completed. Interacts directly with immediate supervisor, co-workers and team members; engages in routine exchanges of information; interactions with external contacts, if applicable, would be monitored.\nDetailed Description\nPerforms tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:\nCoordinates activities of cycle counters across the business areas.\nMonitors activities to ensure proper priorities and deployment.\nIdentifies process issues and opportunities for improvement.\nAssists with variance analysis to identify root cause of issues.\nReports cycle count findings and assist in implementation of process improvements.\nTracks and follows-up on process improvements.\nCommunicates initiatives across the business areas.\nPresents cycle count findings, write-offs and process improvements to senior management.\nProvides training, support and mentoring to NCM Specialists to assist them in analyzing data and understanding role in Inventory Management.\nDevelops and implements process changes to improve the current process.\nFacilitates monthly meetings to give team a technical or business update.\nProvides training on NCM for site employees to gain an understanding and need for the NCM process.\nPerforms audits on physical processes and adherence to physical processes.\nKnowledge/Skills/Competencies\nBasic knowledge of production planning fundamentals, scheduling, materials requirements planning techniques and manufacturing control systems.\nKnowledge of warehouse, distribution, inventory control, and shipping/receiving practices.\nStrong analytical skills to perform root cause analysis, interpret data, and resolve issues.\nBasic math skills.\nAbility to maintain detailed and accurate records of material movement.\nAbility to effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal customers.\nAbility to provide leadership to a group of employees.\nKnowledge of computer applications and the ability to accurately perform tasks in some or all of the following applications: Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.\nAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers\nPhysical Demands\nDuties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.\nDuties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.\nRepetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.\nTypical Experience\nZero to two years of relevant experience.\nTypical Education\nBachelor's degree in related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experiency.\nEducational requirements may vary by geography.\nNotes\nThis job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities of the position.
