The ideal candidate will bridge design and manufacturing, applying strong root-cause analysis to resolve early-stage production challenges. This is a Contract full time opportunity: Approximate 9 months with a potential for extension or conversion based on business needs.\nDetailed Description\nPerforms tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:\nDesign, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes to support customer products. \nDevelop application software and tooling for a series of complex machines and mechanical process steps within a manufacturing sector.\nExecute with support, capability of machines and process steps using Design of Experiments and statistical methods to ensure maximum utilization of critical resources, maximum throughput, minimum cost and capacity growth; involves integrating equipment, people, material flow, and information systems. \nSolve technical product, process, component, and related problems that affect the efficient operation and/or manufacture of products.\nProvide feedback to product designers on suitability of designs for manufacturability with supervision.\nKnowledge/Skills/Competencies\nRefer to technical skills below\nPhysical Demands\nDuties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.\nDuties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. \nRepetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.\nOccasional travel may be required.\nTypical Experience\nA minimum of 2 to 3 years of direct SMT process engineering experience is required for this job.\nTypical Education\nBachelor degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nEducational Requirements may vary by Geography\nNotes\nThis job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities of the position.
