Incumbents carry out assignments within well-defined practices, procedures and policies. Interacts directly with immediate supervisor, co-workers and team members; engages in routine exchanges of information; interactions with external contacts, if applicable, would be monitored\nDetailed Description\nPerforms tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:\nWorks in support of logistics processes such as materials replenishment/ kitting, warehouse shipping/receiving and/or distribution.\nProvides analytical and administrative support to logistics department.\nPrepares and analyzes department performance measurements.\nCreates department reports and communicates to other departments/ functions.\nDevelops and assists in implementing corrective action plans.\nDevelops training systems and documentation for new employees.\nPerforms administrative tasks in support of department activities.\nRecommends process improvements, assists with implementation, documentation and communicates to other function areas.\nGets involved in resolving parts and process issues.\nWorks on special projects as assigned.\nConducts order book management including new order analysis and entry, open orders, and behind schedule order process.\nOversees return materials management to ensure fast turnaround, customer satisfaction, and minimal financial impact.\nEnsures products shipped are timely and match customer order.\nConducts analysis of best practices and shares among business units and customers.\nKnowledge/Skills/Competencies\nGood understanding of manufacturing, warehouse and distribution processes.\nKnowledge of personal computers and ability to learn and use applications specific to this area.\nBasic understanding of internal and external customer requirements\nAbility to identify and resolve complex process/system problems using financial, analytical and statistical models.\nAbility to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadlines.\nAbility to evaluate, prioritize, and problem solve tasks which are limited in complexity to ensure their timely and accurate completion.\nAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.\nPhysical Demands\nDuties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.\nDuties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.\nRepetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.\nTypical Experience\nZero to two years of relevant experience.\nTypical Education\nBachelor's degree in related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nEducational requirements may vary by geography.\nNotes\nThis job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities of the position.
