This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining a robust internal control environment, and managing all direct and indirect tax matters in compliance with Chinese statutory requirements and corporate policies. The position will partner closely with site leadership, regional finance teams, and external auditors to support operational efficiency, financial integrity, and regulatory compliance.\nDetailed Description\nFinancial Accounting & Reporting:Oversee all site-level accounting activities, including general ledger, month-end & Qtr-end close, and financial reporting.\nEnsure compliance with US GAAP and China GAAP reporting standards.\nManage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.\nPrepare and review statutory financial statements and local filings.\nCoordinate with regional and corporate finance teams on consolidation and reporting requirements.\n\nInternal Controls & Compliance:Establish and maintain a strong internal control framework, including compliance with SOX or equivalent corporate control standards.\nLead risk assessments and ensure proper documentation of financial processes and controls.\nCoordinate internal and external financial and operational audits.\nIdentify and implement process improvements to strengthen control effectiveness and operational efficiency.\n\nTax Management:Manage all tax aspects, including corporate income tax, VAT, and local tax compliance in China, in close partnership with the regional and corporate tax team.\nOversee tax filings, tax provisioning, and tax accounting.\nMonitor changes in Chinese tax regulations and ensure ongoing compliance.\nSupport tax planning initiatives and incentives in coordination with the corporate tax team.\n\nTeam Leadership:Lead, coach, and develop the plant accounting and finance operations team.\nFoster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.\n\n Business Partnership:Partner with plant leadership, operations, supply chain, and procurement to support data-driven financial decision-making.\nSupport capital investment decisions with rigorous analysis (ROI, payback).\nWork with SCM to manage and optimize inventory, obsolescence, and turns.\nSupport site initiatives such as automation, efficiency improvements, and financial systems upgrades.\n\nKnowledge/Skills/Competencies\nEducation: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.\n Experience:Minimum of 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.\nMinimum of 3+ years in a supervisory or managerial position.\nDemonstrated experience in manufacturing environments.\nExperience working in a Multinational Corporation (MNC) environment.\n\n Skills & Competencies:Deep knowledge of US GAAP and China accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal control frameworks (SOX).\nStrong SAP/ERP proficiency is essential.\nExcellent analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work independently, provide unbiased recommendations, and navigate complex stakeholder environments.\nStrong communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior management.\nPragmatic, hands-on, flexible, and adaptable to change.\n\nPhysical Demands\nDuties of this position are performed in a normal office environment\nDuties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data\nOvernight travel may be required\nNotes\nThis job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities of the position.
