Quantifying, managing and mitigating supply chain risk to provide continuous flow of quality parts, whilst minimizing supply chain disruption.\nDetailed Description\nKnowledge/Skills/Competencies\nPhysical Demands\nThe Manager, GSQ performs tasks including the following:\nProvide leadership and guidance to other GSQ team members.\n\nMonitor customer and Celestica requirements/expectations flowed down to suppliers and sub suppliers to ensure clear expectations are defined and understood.\n\nLead Quality Planning during new product introduction, flawless launch, transitions and significant process changes. Participate in supplier onboarding.\n\nSupport risk-based Supplier Audit program. Performing on-site or virtual Supplier audits to assess quality systems and capabilities.\n\nDevelop and deploy robust Global Supplier Quality processes and procedures. Document control, maintenance and continual improvement of Supplier Quality processes.\n\nReport key issues, supplier performance and other metrics to management.\n\nWork with Celestica’s site representatives, Commodity Team’s and Supplier’s to effectively drive root cause and corrective action to resolve problems.\n\nIdentify risks and supplier performance issues and drive Supplier Quality Development to address systemic issues.\n\nParticipate in Periodic Business Reviews of high impact/ Preferred Suppliers. Active engagement in Celestica’s supplier performance objectives.\n\nFacilitate and manage the education of suppliers on core quality tools such as FMEA, Control Plans, 8D/ Root Cause Analysis and problem resolution.\n\nTypical Experience\nProven Leadership and collaboration skills.\n\nAbility to effectively lead and manage multiple projects and teams.\n\nPractical knowledge of international industry quality standards including, as appropriate, AS9000 series, ISO13485, AITF16949, FDA, VDA etc.\n\nExperience with electronic and mechanical assembly, and a wide range of manufacturing processes.\n\nExtensive experience with conducting quality audits. Lead Auditor certification preferred.\n\nAdvanced problem-solving skills, able to lead a team to apply root cause analysis and corrective action, using 8D process and formal quality tools.\n\nExtensive knowledge of Core Quality Tools including APQP, FMEA, PPAP, Control Plans, SPC and Gage R@R.\n\nUnderstanding of GD@T and of control of Key/Critical characteristics.\n\nAbility to interact and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.\n\nHighly motivated, passionate and collaborative with an ability to work remotely.\n\nAble to travel 25%-30%.\n\nPhysical Demands:\nDuties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.\n\nDuties of the position are performed in a manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, hazardous substances, etc.\n\nRepetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
