This includes planning, monitoring, and recording software license and/or hardware assets to ensure compliance with vendor contracts. The individual will assist in forming procurement strategies to optimize technology spend across the organization. The IT Asset Manager will also develop and implement procedures for tracking company assets to oversee quality control throughout their life cycles.\n\nDetailed Description\n\nPerforms tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:\n\nFormulates and implements processes, procedures and systems for tracking and analyzing software, hardware, and equipment from requisition through retirement \nAccount for the IT assets throughout the enterprise utilizing tools to manage all assets within the organization and affiliated companies \nDevelop and conduct training as needed for use by department level staff to maintain inventory \nManage acquisition of assets from planning through deployment \nReport to senior management ITAM/life cycles and resolve conflicts \nVerify, enter, and adjust equipment IT asset management data in a variety of forms, schedules, and reports \nTrack entire life-cycle management for each asset in order to maintain warranty information, refresh date, and end of life data information \n Work directly with the administrator(s) to maintain 100 percent inventory accuracy \nDevelop written plans, policies, and procedures to document processes to support the asset management lifecycle \nConduct annual inventory audits and develop processes and procedures to ensure accuracy \nDevelop and implement eWaste policies and procedures. \nOther duties as assigned \nThe Configuration Manager is responsible for maintaining information about Configuration Items required to deliver IT services \nTo this end he maintains a logical model, containing the components of the IT infrastructure (CIs) and their associations \n\nKnowledge/Skills/Competencies\n\nServiceNow platform experience with a focus on ITAM, ITOM and Software Asset Management \nSpecific experience evaluating, recommending and implementing infrastructure solutions \nExperience evaluating or implementing private cloud solutions, dynamic capacity provisioning, metering and chargeback and self-service capability \nExperience in scoping, planning and managing complex and concurrent technical activities supported by a strong understanding of IT project management; demonstrated ability to manage scope, timeline, and budget; PMP certification a plus \nExperience with business requirements gathering and analysis \nUnderstanding of information processing principles and practices \nStrong foundation of experience leveraging technologies to build highly scalable, rapidly recoverable and efficiently provisioned platforms \nExperience developing business cases and negotiating with vendors \nExperience with the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and IT Service Management. ITIL Foundations v3 certification a plus \nProven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions \nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills; resourceful and capable of working in the abstract, with the ability to understand multiple facets of complex technologies \nExperience leading the deployment of complex solutions involving multiple vendor technologies \nEffective facilitator of technical decisions; comfortable with working through ambiguous initiatives to develop effective solutions \nExcellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills with experience communicating complex, technical concepts to all levels \nSolid relationship management skills interacting horizontally and vertically across organizations \nAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment \nExceptional customer service orientation \n\nPhysical Demands\n\nDuties of this position are performed in a normal office environment. \nDuties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required. \n\nTypical Experience\n\nOverall work experience should be 14+years.\n5 to 7 years experience of relevant experience. \n\nTypical Education\n\nBachelors Degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
