You will define scalable architectures, guide global teams, and enable breakthrough solutions across emerging technologies and future platforms.\nDetailed Description\nResponsibilities\nSystem Architecture & Innovation\nDefine end-to-end FPGA and digital system architectures for advanced and future-focused products\nDrive innovation in next-generation hardware platforms and technologies\nEstablish scalable and reusable architectures across evolving product lines\nEvaluate emerging technologies and translate them into practical system designs\nProject Leadership\nLead full lifecycle development projects, from concept, prototyping, to production\nDrive execution across cross-functional teams (hardware, software, validation)\nSet technical direction, timelines, and ensure high-quality delivery\nMentor engineers and elevate overall engineering standards and capability\nDesign & Development\nLead development of complex FPGA designs using Verilog/VHDL\nDefine best practices in RTL design, modular architecture, and performance optimization\nGuide high-level modeling and architectural exploration using Python or C/C++\nSystem Integration\nAct as the primary technical liaison between hardware and software domains\nEnsure seamless integration of FPGA subsystems into complete system solutions\nDefine system interfaces, data flows, and integration strategies\nVerification & Bring-Up\nOversee system bring-up, validation, and debugging\nEstablish robust verification methodologies and best practices\nResolve complex system-level issues in collaboration with validation teams\nTechnical Problem Solving\nLead resolution of critical architectural and design challenges\nPerform root-cause analysis across multi-layer systems\nEnsure long-term scalability, performance, and reliability\nKnowledge/Skills/Competencies\nQualifications\nBachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field\nMinimum 7+ years of direct industry experience in FPGA design\nAdditional Experience (Plus)\nExperience in health technology, medical devices, or regulated environments\nFamiliarity with high-speed interfaces such as Ethernet, PCIe, or SERDES\nBackground in data-intensive or real-time processing systems (e.g., imaging, instrumentation)\nExpert-level proficiency in Verilog/VHDL and FPGA design methodologies\nStrong experience in system architecture and hardware/software co-design\nProficiency in Python or C/C++ for modeling and simulation\nDeep understanding of:\nDigital logic design\nElectronic circuits and schematics\nHardware debugging and diagnostic tools\nProven ability to lead complex engineering projects end-to-end\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills\nStrong communication skills, capable of influencing senior technical stakeholders\nFluent in English - both writing and speaking\nPhysical Demands\nDuties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.\nDuties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. \nRepetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.\nOccasional travel may be required.\nNotes\nThis job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities of the position.
