Builds internal and external relationships, with emphasis on those that facilitate the achievement of job/role accountabilities, such as relationships with key suppliers, customers and internal service.\nDetailed Description\nPerforms tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:\nWorks to ensure export shipments and documentation are in compliance with applicable customs law.\nActs as a liaison with customs offices.\nCollects and analyzes logistics data for trends and potential cost savings.\nEvaluates and selects carriers for shipment of product.\nAnalyzes freight data for internal and external charges. Interfaces with customers to identify billing information.\nResponsible for process development and reengineering related to border crossings.\nProvides leadership, expertise, guidance and training to the supply chain, commodity, procurement and program management functions, ensuring that the latest practices and procedures are followed.\nInterfaces with various levels of Celestica management to ensure processes are in place and working such that we maintain compliance with Logistics processes.\nKnowledge/Skills/Competencies\nGood knowledge of an electronics manufacturing environment, material and processes.\nExpert understanding and interpretation of traffic and customs rules and regulations.\nKnowledge of basic computer applications such as WORD, Excel, PowerPoint and multiple business applications.\nGood understanding of internal and external customer requirements.\nGood financial, analytical, and negotiation skills.\nAbility to identify and resolve high complexity process/system problems using financial, analytical, and/or statistical models.\nAbility to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadlines.\nAbility to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion.\nAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.\nTypical Experience\nThree to six years of relevant experience.\nTypical Education\nBachelor's degree in related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nEducational requirements may vary by geography.\nNotes\nThis job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities of the position.
