Enhance designs with feedback from reviews in areas such as manufacturing, test, supply chain, reliability, industrial design and simulations. Provide support throughout the manufacturing process of the electrical/mechanical system that they have designed.\nThe Lead Engineer, Hardware Design (Electrical) develops new electrical systems/circuits for various applications. Research system ideas and draw up plans for these systems, and capture them in schematics and system specifications. Test, simulate, validate and qualify their systems and make adjustments as needed\nThe Lead Engineer, Hardware Design (Mechanical) develops new mechanical systems/modules and maintains existing designs. Research mechanical concepts and create system solutions using 3D modeling and simulation software. Complete calculations and test, validate, and qualify their systems and make adjustments as needed.\nDetailed Description\nOnboard DC/DC circuit verification and test\nVerify power supply functionality\nPublish and maintain power supply verification status and data\nAssist to debug and duplicate power system related issues\nCreate test plan and test report\nDelivery test report after test and report design bugs to design team on time\nTest equipment and tool purchase forecast for new technology pursuit\nKnowledge/Skills/Competencies\nBachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.\nAbove 3 years server/storage/network products power test experience\nAbility to solder with a soldering iron.\nExcellent skills about using test equipments, such as electrical load, power supply, oscilloscopes, voltage/current probes, Loop analyzer and etc.\nFamiliar with the characteristic of electrical components, such as inductor, MOSFET, capacitors and etc.\nUnderstand DC/DC topology and has the testing experience of power supply, power brick or On-board DC/DC is preferable.\nWorking knowledge of power supply topologies and commonly used parts\nExperience and/or familiarity with communication protocols including I2C, PMBus…etc,.\nGood at verbal and written communication skills\nPhysical Demands\nDuties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.\nDuties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. \nRepetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.\nOccasional travel may be required.\nTypical Experience\n1 to 3 years of related experienc;Experience in similar job roles\nTypical Education\nBachelor degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nEducational Requirements may vary by Geography\nNotes\nThis job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities of the position.
