They manage the development, implementation, and evaluation of complex designs. They are responsible for managing large projects with complex scope, multiple streams of work and inter-dependencies.\nDetailed Description\nPerforms tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:\nManage programs (multiple projects per program) of medium complexity (technology, organizationally). Lead cross-functional, global core team(s), kick off programs, establish schedules and drive meetings.\nPresent and communicate status to the business leaders and customers. Review and interpret customer specifications and provide customer feedback\nCoordinate site-wide deployment efforts.\nImplement change as directed in the product lifecycle process and recommend process improvements\nPlan the overall program and monitor the progress. Drive the creation, review, approval and update of the Program Plan/WBS including resources.\nDaily program management throughout the program life\nDrive the program core team to meet or exceed program objectives (Cost, Quality, Schedule, Features, Fulfillment/Continuity of Supply, Solution delivery across products & service offerings, Customer Specific Needs)\nDefine the program governance (controls)\nManage the program’s budget. Forecast actuals against plan/quote for income/revenue, cost/labour & expense\nManage risks and issues and taking corrective measurements\nCoordinate the projects and their interdependencies. Manage and utilize resources across projects\nAlign the deliverables (outputs) to the program’s “outcome” with the aid of the business change manager\nManage the main program documentation, such as the Program Initiation document \nKnowledge/Skills/Competencies\nTools: Proficient in JIRA/Azure DevOps and other Agile project management tools.\nResilience: Proven ability to thrive in high-utilization, fast-paced environments.\nCommunication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to \"translate\" technical hurdles into clear updates for non-technical customers.\nTechnical Literacy: A solid grasp of how firmware integrates with product hardware. Knowledge in IEC62304 or ISO13485 is a plus.\nHigh-Pressure Delivery: Demonstrated experience working in high-utilization environments, with the ability to maintain team focus during tight deadlines.\nCustomer Advocacy: Strong ability to handle customer pressure, negotiate timelines, and manage external expectations professionally.\nFinancial Aptitude: A readiness to take on project finance responsibilities, including quoting, revenue recognition, and cost management.\nPhysical Demands\nDuties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.\nDuties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. \nRepetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.\nOccasional travel may be required.\nTypical Experience\n5-8 years of experience in Software Project Managementor Scrum Master, with a specific focus on Embedded Systems or Firmware.\nTypical Education\nBachelor degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nEducational Requirements may vary by Geography\nNotes\nThis job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities of the position.
