The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer engineering and fundamental engineering disciplines. This role requires hands-on engagement with complex servers, storage devices and AI compute rack systems.\nDetailed Description\nPerforms tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:\nResponsible for understanding the customer’s technical requirements to maintain contextual knowledge for issues and projects.\n\nCollaborate with development, production and service teams to understand the performance requirements that drive the solution design.\n\nWork as a core team member with the CMX site to support efforts from design, production launch, full production and service support.\n\nUnderstand the scope of all technical work, engage with the team, accept work assignments and work diligently through problem resolution for the full customer product life cycle support.\n\nPrepare and deliver technical presentations and training sessions to customers and internal teams.\n\nContribute to best practice standard development by conducting research, writing documents and engaging Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).\n\nKnowledge/Skills/Competencies\nFailure Analysis (FA): Experience at the system integration level (including networking, storage, and processing devices) is required. FA experience at the component level is a bonus; demonstrate experience with system integration projects.\n\nTechnical Knowledge: Strong understanding of PC/server architecture, networking, and JBOD/disk architecture; good knowledge of measurement equipment and experience with complex cabling schemes.\n\nOperating Systems: Proficiency with Linux-based test scripts for computer and network hardware performance testing, including familiarity with Bash and Python..\n\nTesting & Development: Experience with test development, test script development, and knowledge of test sequencers. Programming language skills are required, with Perl and Python being a plus. (Off-line / On-board / On-system memory programming is a bonus.)\n\nProblem Solving & Reporting: Strong problem-solving techniques and experience utilizing failure reports to identify and resolve vendor issues; demonstrate experience with 8D, 5W, and Six Sigma methodologies.\n\nManufacturing: Fixture development for quick failure validation, deep knowledge in component / device traceability on complex system integration projects.\n\nUnderstanding of foundational engineering disciplines required for CCS Products (Fluid Mechanics, Thermal Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering)\n\nPhysical Demands\nDuties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.\nDuties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. \nRepetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.\n10% - 25% focused mostly in North America.
