They will also be expected to help with design review of critical PCBs for signal integrity concerns. Good communications skills and ability to work with global teams is required.\nThis role works in cross functional teams with other designers, customers, manufacturing engineering and project leadership to ensure robust and high quality product development. Enhance designs with feedback from reviews in areas such as manufacturing, test, supply chain, reliability, industrial design and simulations.\nDetailed Description\nDevelop SI and PI design for server/storage/communication products. Major works are to serve as the signal and power integrity analyst and designer provides the support to internal team, suppliers, and customers to deliver the new products.\nPCB material choosing and stack-up definition.\n3D passive channel modeling, perform extraction by using electromagnetic tools.\nPerform signal integrity pre-layout and post-layout analysis in R&D phase.\nPerform static timing and signal integrity analysis of parallel (common clock, source- • synchronous) interfaces.\nDesign and analysis of multi-gigabit serial links, including lab verification and tuning.\nPerform power integrity analysis on power delivery network.\nGenerate and verify PCB layout rules, manage constraints for PCB layout.\nWork directly with ASIC and PCB design teams to evaluate design tradeoffs and optimize design performance / risk / cost / manufacturability.\nCooperate with R&D team and signal test engineers on debugging, failure analysis and fixing issues discovered during test.\nFamiliar with PCIe, DDR5, Ethernet specification is a plus.\nKnowledge/Skills/Competencies\nExperience with Keysight ADS, Power DC/SI for both time and frequency domain circuit simulation.\nExperience with 3-D field solver Synopsis ANSYS HFSS.\nExperience with TDR and VNA measurements.\nProficiency in Electromagnetic, Transmission-line & S-parameters theory and modeling.\nGood understanding on power distribution, DDR and SerDes design.\nBSEE or related field with 8 years of applicable work experience or MSEE or related field with 6 years of experience.\nStrong written and oral communication in English with customer service skills\nPhysical Demands\nDuties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.\nDuties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. \nRepetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.\nOccasional travel may be required.\nTypical Experience\n8+ years in a similar role or industry.\nTypical Education\nBachelor’s or Master degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in electromagnetic theory. \nNotes\nThis job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities of the position.
