and select and integrate all necessary process machinery to satisfy customer technical specifications, quality requirements, and volume demand.\nNew Product Introduction (NPI) & Program Development\nCustomer Data Processing & Programming: Translate customer CAD and Gerber design data into machine-readable assembly and placement programs for New Product Introduction (NPI).\nFull-Line SMT Program Generation: Generate, test, and validate machine recipes and programs across the complete Surface Mount Technology (SMT) production line, covering:Screen Printers\nSolder Paste Inspection (SPI)\nHigh-Speed Pick-and-Place (Placement) machines\nThermal Reflow Ovens\nAutomated Optical Inspection (AOI)\n\nEquipment Engineering, Calibration & Vision Systems\nMachine Alignment & Vision Setup: Configure, teach, and calibrate optical vision systems and PCB fiducial recognition parameters for precise board alignment.\nTooling Selection & Calibration: Select nozzles based on component packaging specifications and calibrate vacuum sensors to maintain placement accuracy.\nProcess Engineering, Stencil Design & Thermal Profiling\nStencil Tooling Design: Design and specify screen printing stencils to control solder paste deposit geometry, aperture dimensions, and paste release efficiency.\nThermal Profile Engineering: Design, analyze, and manage thermal temperature profiles for multi-zone reflow ovens to ensure proper solder alloy reflow and metallurgical joint integrity.\nLine Balancing, Library Management & Optimization\nComponent Library Creation: Develop, update, and manage component footprint libraries and package definitions in accordance with assembly requirements.\nLine Balancing & CPH Optimization: Configure feeder mapping, optimize component pickup/placement sequences, and balance line workflows to maximize throughput and Components Per Hour (CPH) while minimizing cycle times.\n\nKnowledge/Skills/Competencies\nStandards, Qualifications & Technical Platforms\nIndustry Experience: Over 5+ years of professional engineering experience within Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) manufacturing environments.\nQuality & Workmanship Standards: Applied practical knowledge and enforcement of IPC-A-610 acceptability criteria for electronic assemblies.\nHands-on OEM Platforms & Tooling:Screen Printing: DEK\nInspection (SPI & AOI): Koh Young\nComponent Placement: Fuji (AIMEX III / AIMEX III-R)\nThermal Reflow: BTU International\n\nPhysical Demands\nDuties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.\nDuties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. \nRepetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.\nOccasional travel may be required.\nTypical Experience\n5+ years of related experience in similar job roles\nTypical Education\nBachelor degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nEducational Requirements may vary by Geography\nNotes\nThis job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities of the position.
