Checks the package against the DFM rule set before release, raises findings with evidence, and works the disposition directly with the designer rather than sending a report over the wall. Supports SMT and assembly process questions for the assigned site.\nDetailed Description\nRun pre-DFM on assigned packages and issue the report before release, within the agreed turnaround.\nLog every finding in the register with severity, route and the evidence behind the rule.\nWork the disposition directly with layout: design change where it is right, process or supplier route where it is not.\nVerify closure on the next build and record the evidence.\nSupport site DFM and SMT process questions for the assigned site and programmes.\nPropose rule changes where a finding recurs across platforms, and maintain the Valor encoding for checks in scope.\nKnowledge/Skills/Competencies\nRefer to technical skills below\nPhysical Demands\nFour to eight years in DFM, PCB fabrication or SMT process engineering.\nValor proficiency and IPC familiarity expected.\nDegree in electrical, materials or manufacturing engineering.\nTypical Experience\n4 to 6 years in a similar role or industry.\nTypical Education\nBachelor degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nEducational Requirements may vary by Geography\nNotes\nThis job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities of the position.
