Communication and recognition of Continuous Improvement (CI) successes is central to the position.\nThis role supports our ATS sites and their Continuous Improvement teams and is responsible for developing and sustaining CI standards across the segment, primarily focused in Europe and North America. The intern will be exposed to Continuous Improvement principles, systems and tools, and will have the opportunity to learn from experienced team members as well as through direct participation in CI activity. The intern will also support and lead regional CI programs and will have the opportunity to learn about and engage with a variety of sites, customers, and businesses. The intern in this role will enjoy a varied, stimulating and challenging work environment in a highly motivated team. We are looking for a team player who is able to learn quickly, is self-motivated, and has excellent interpersonal communication abilities.\nPreferred Skills:\nStrong understanding of Microsoft Office/Google\n\nStrong communication skills, especially written\n\nExcellent collaboration, problem solving and teamwork skills\n\nFlexible and self-motivated\n\nFamiliarity with Smartsheet, PowerBI, dashboarding or website design an asset\n\nAwareness of Continuous Improvement, Lean and Six Sigma is an asset\n\nActivities:\nAssist in the governance of the Systematic CI Framework program, including quarterly internal reviews and semi-annual site assessments.\n\nManage CI Recognition programs, including coordinating monthly Best of Site, quarterly Best of Region and semi-annual global Best of Best recognition rewards and associated communications.\n\nCoordinate the publication of the quarterly CI Newsletter, including content generation, recognition summaries and other updates.\n\nSupport appropriate CI reviews, including monthly regional and site meetings.\n\nSupport Monthly Operations Reviews and Cost Productivity Roadmap meetings.\n\nOversee monthly CI metric reporting.\n\nAssist with maintenance and enhancements of the global CI website.\n\nAssist with maintenance and enhancements of the Operations Central repository.\n\nPotential to participate in process improvement based CI workshops or projects.\n\nPotential to assist in the creation and delivery of training materials.\n\nThis team drives and supports improvement initiatives across the network that may require support and provides opportunities for candidates to take on new responsibilities as determined by business needs and applicant’s capabilities.
