Apply today and take the first step towards an exciting new career with CellCarta!\nSummary\nReporting to the Site Manager or Group Lead, the Laboratory Technician is primarily responsible for processing fresh samples and supporting laboratory experiments through cells, reagents and solution preparation. The role also includes managing solutions, consumables, labels, and maintaining inventory. In addition, the Laboratory Technician is responsible for sample management activities such as receiving, logging, inventorying, and labelling samples, reagents, and materials, all in accordance with laboratory standards, safety protocols, and quality assurance requirements.\nResponsibilities\nCells isolation from human samples using aseptic techniques.\nPerform cryopreservation, thawing and counting with strict adherence to SOPs.\nSupport lab operations: Perform solution/reagent preparation. Thawing cells and sample pre-processing.\nReceive, label, log, and store samples and reagents per SOPs and LIMS.\nSupport shipment preparation and execute/document sample destruction.\nSupport equipment maintenance and inventory.\nPerform tasks and maintain documentation as per appropriate SOP and applicable GLP regulations and GCLP guidelines.\nEducationDiploma in Laboratory Sciences.\n Main RequirementsExperience with PBMC (isolation by Ficoll or CPT, cryopreservation, thawing, counting with hemocytometer) required;\nExperience working in a biological safety cabinet under sterile conditions;\n1 year experience in a laboratory, an asset;\nExperience in a GLP/GCLP environment, an asset;\nOrganized and rigorous in the conduct of their work;\nGood record keeping skills and attention to detail;\nDynamic and motivated.\nWorking ConditionsLocation: Fully on-site, Unit 31, 11-13 Brookhollow Avenue, Baulkham Hills, NSW, 2153 Australia\nSchedule: Full-time. Standard hours are Monday-Friday, with a Tuesday-Saturday rotation at least twice per month.
