Apply today and take the first step towards an exciting new career with CellCarta!\nPosition Summary\nReporting to the Sample Reception Manager, the Sample Management Technician is responsible for receiving, logging, inventorying and labeling samples in compliance with laboratory standards, safety protocols, and quality assurance requirements.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform the reception, inventory, labeling and storage of samples and study reagents.\nAccurately log the information into the laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).\nMaintain proper storage conditions for the samples and reagents (e.g., refrigeration, freezing).\nConfirm proper delivery conditions or communicate any discrepancy or shipment non-conformity to designated individuals.\nEnsure the chain of custody is correctly maintained.\nPrepare the shipments of samples and study reagents to send to clinical sites, sponsors, or collaborators.\nPrepare, document and execute the destruction of samples\nManage storage space for the various storage temperatures (from ambient to cryogenic).\nPerform tasks and maintain documentation as per appropriate SOP and applicable GLP regulations and GCLP guidelines.\nQualificationsRequired Qualifications\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy as well as commitment to achieving good quality work.\nExcellent time management and organizational skills.\nAbility to work under pressure in a fast-paced and changing environment to meet operational deadlines.\nEffective interpersonal and communication abilities.\nExcellent record keeping skills.\nAbility to work autonomously as well as part of a team.\nPositive and professional attitude.\nProblem solving skills and good sense of initiative.\nProficiency in French and English, spoken and written; the incumbent will be required to interact with colleagues, regulatory authorities outside Quebec and will be required to read and draft documentation in English, as required by industry regulations.\nProficiency with MS Office suite, especially Excel.\nAvailability to work on some statutory holidays and occasionally work longer hours, depending on operational needs.\nCapability to lift loads weighing up to 25kg.\nPreferred QualificationsCollege degree, Science-related is an asset.\nExperience in a similar role or laboratory environment is an asset.\nExperience with LIMS is an asset.\nExperience in working in a GLP/GCLP environment is an asset.\nKnowledge of IATA regulations is an asset.\nWork ArrangementsPosition type: Full time position\nWork model: Fully on-site, 3650 St-Urbain Street, Montreal, QC, Canada, H2X 2P2\n Working hours: Tuesday to Saturday (weekdays 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Saturday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM).
