The ideal candidate balances strong analytical accounting skills with a collaborative mindset to bridge the gap between finance and shop floor inventory.\nKey Responsibilities\nThree-Way Matching: Review, code, and reconcile high-volume invoices against purchase orders and warehouse receiving logs.\n Accounting Fundamentals: Apply a strong understanding of debits, credits, and accruals to ensure expenses are coded correctly to the General Ledger (GL).\nReconciliations: Perform routine reconciliations of vendor statements and ensure the sub-ledger aligns accurately with the accounts payable GL account.\nDiscrepancy Research & Resolution: Investigate, track, and resolve complex billing variances, price discrepancies, and quantity mismatches by researching transaction histories.\nInventory & Audit Support: Physically participate in routine cycle counts and comprehensive physical inventory audits on the production floor.\nPayment Execution: Prepare and execute weekly payment runs via ACH, wire transfers, and checks.\nCross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with procurement, operations, and warehouse teams to optimize the receiving-to-payment cycle and manage supplier relations.\nQualifications & Skills\nEducation: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.\nExperience: 2+ years of dedicated accounts payable or general accounting experience.\nCore Accounting Skills: Strong foundational knowledge of general accounting principles, particularly debits/credits, GL account structures, and financial reconciliations.\nAnalytical Skills: Proven ability to independently research ledger anomalies, audit vendor statements, and systematically resolve discrepancies.\n ERP Software: Proficiency with automated ERP systems (experience with SYSPRO is a major plus, but not required).\nIndustry Context: Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or distribution environment is preferred, but training will be provided.\n Technical Skills: Intermediate Microsoft Excel capabilities (data entry, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).\n Physical Requirements: Ability to safely navigate a manufacturing facility, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs during physical inventory counts.\nWe believe diversity and inclusion among our teammates are essential to our success.
