The role is responsible for providing day-to-day oversight of equipment engineering work, supporting equipment reliability and performance, and helping ensure equipment solutions are practical, safe, and aligned with production needs.\nThis role requires strong mechanical and equipment engineering capability, hands-on problem-solving, and the ability to coordinate work across Operations, Quality, Process Engineering, Automation, and Maintenance teams. The Manager, Equipment Engineering, is expected to be closely involved with equipment build, troubleshooting, implementation, and continuous improvement efforts.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nTo perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.\nSupervise day-to-day activities of the Equipment Engineering team, including work assignment, prioritization, and follow-up\nSupport the design, development, improvement, and implementation of manufacturing equipment, tooling, and fixturing for production and NPI\nProvide hands-on technical guidance for equipment troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to improve reliability and performance\nCoordinate cross-functional efforts with Operations, Process Engineering, Quality, Automation, and Maintenance to support production goals and resolve equipment issues\nMinimum Qualifications\nThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline required\n4+ years of experience in manufacturing equipment engineering, mechanical equipment design, or manufacturing equipment support in a production environment\nPrior experience leading projects, coordinating team activities, or providing day-to-day direction to technical employees\nStrong experience with custom equipment, tooling, fixturing, or manufacturing machinery\nProficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar) and engineering drawing standards\nExperience troubleshooting equipment issues and driving practical corrective actions\nExperience with machine safety concepts and applicable OSHA, ISO, and/or NFPA requirements\nDemonstrated knowledge of mechanical systems, tolerance analysis, and equipment design fundamentals\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrior supervisory or team lead experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment\nExperience with automation integration including PLCs, robotics, motion systems, or vision systems\nBackground in high-volume manufacturing such as automotive, electronics, or similar industries\nExperience working with vendors on equipment fabrication, installation, and startup\nExperience with SolidWorks PDM or similar document control systems\nFamiliarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities\nStrong equipment and mechanical engineering knowledge with practical, hands-on application\nEffective troubleshooting and root cause analysis capability\nAbility to prioritize work and coordinate team efforts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment\nStrong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills\nAbility to coach and support less experienced engineers or technicians\nStrong organizational skills and follow-through\nAbility to translate engineering needs into practical production support\nWe believe diversity and inclusion among our teammates are essential to our success.
